Upcoming Catholic Events in Connecticut

14th Annual Respect Life Conference presented by Holy Angels Pro-Life Outreach Ministry will be held on Saturday, October 19, 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Featuring Keynote Speakers: Ambassador Dr. Alan Keyes, Renowned Author and Lecturer on Pro-Life. Jeanne Monahan, President of the March for Life Education and Defense Fund in Washington, D.C.

Workshops/Guest Speakers: Theresa Bonopartis, Rev. Deacon Thomas J. Davis, Jr. and Elizabeth Gillen. Respect Life Mass Celebrant and Homilist: Reverend Robert J. Rousseau, Pro-Life Director, Archdiocese of Hartford. 

The Most Reverend Henry J. Mansell, D.D., Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Hartford, will welcome all participants and open the conference with a prayer.


Registration Fee of $25 includes: Hospitality, Exhibits, Workshops, Lunch, Respect Life Mass. Holy Angels Parish Center is located at 585 Main Street in South Meriden, CT.  A printable registration form can be found at www.HolyAngelsChurch.org/events.htm.

All catechists and adults of are invited to the 2013 Diocese of Bridgeport Catechetical Congress on Saturday, November 16 at Sacred Heart University, Fairfield.  

This day-long event will enrich the lives of many through prayer, discussion, and lectures. The theme is “Who do you say that I am?”  The keynote speaker is Bishop Frank J. Caggiano and a witness talk will be given by Monsignor Robert Weiss, pastor at Saint Rose of Lima, Newtown entitled “Tragedy, Faith, and Healing.” 

Four workshops will also be presented by Dr. Peter Kreeft, Dr. Anthony Esolen, Mrs. Amy Ekeh, and Amy Taylor & Jaimee Koegler.

The registration fee is $35/person which includes breakfast and lunch; vendors from various religious publishing companies will be present. 

A vigil Mass at 4pm will be celebrated by Bishop Caggiano.  Register today by clicking here
