Honor Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament
with a special procession in His honor. Some Corpus Christi processions in your
area this coming Sunday, June 22:
St. Rita Church, 1620 Whitney Avenue, Hamden,
will hold a traditional outdoor Corpus Christi procession on Sunday June
22 immediately following the 11:30 a.m. Mass (approx. 12:30 p.m.). The
procession of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament will leave from the upper church
and make its way around the block. Benediction will take place in the parish's
daily Mass chapel (downstairs). A light reception will follow in the church
hall. All are welcome.

St. Mary's Church of the Visitation, 54 Grove St,
Clinton CT will hold a Eucharistic procession following the 11:30 Mass,
Sunday June 22nd, 2014.
A Festival of Faith begins in the Main Church at the
closing of Mass.

The Torrington Cluster of Roman
Catholic Parishes will have a Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, June 22nd,
beginning at 2:30pm at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington. The
procession will travel from St. Peter to St. Francis Church 160 Main St.,
continue to Sacred Heart Church at 116 Grove St., and end at St. Mary Church, 85
Pulaski St.
Rain location is St. Peter Church for a Holy Hour.

The Waterbury Deanery will sponsor the Annual Corpus
Christi Procession on Sunday, June 22. The Celebration will begin in
the Basilica of the Immaculate (74 W. Main St, Waterbury) at 2:00
P.M. The Outdoor Procession will start at 2:30 P.M. and proceed to Our Lady
of Lourdes for the second station and then to the Shrine of Saint
Anne for the final station. Refreshments will be served in the hall
following the devotions in the Church. Please plan to attend!

Hillhouse Avenue, New Haven, there will be a Eucharistic procession on the
street around the parish church.

Street to Saint Peter Church, 160 Main Street Hartford. With
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament Eucharistic

The annual Corpus Christi Procession will take place
in Wallingford on Sunday, June 22, 2014, beginning at 2:30 P.M.,
at Saints Peter & Paul Church, 139 North Orchard Street. The opening
ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 P.M. The procession will proceed
down North Orchard Street to Church Street and then to Most Holy Trinity
Church. There will be three stations at which the procession will stop on North
Orchard Street and Church Street for prayer, a reading from the Holy Gospel and
the blessing of the Blessed Sacrament. The closing ceremony will take place
in Most Holy Trinity Church, 68 North Colony Street, with prayer,
readings and concluding with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. A reception
will follow in the church hall. Everyone is cordially invited to participate in
this beautiful ceremony marking our reverence and faith in the Most Blessed
Sacrament.

Eucharistia: “In many places, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is also an
important daily practice and becomes an inexhaustible source of holiness. The
devout participation of the faithful in the Eucharistic procession on the
Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ is a grace from the Lord which yearly
brings joy to those who take part in it.”

talk to be given by Dom Alcuin Reid, monk of the Monastère Saint Benoit in the
diocese of Fréjus-Toulon in France. Dom Alcuin is the author of The Organic Development of the Liturgy,
for which Pope Benedict XVI wrote the preface. Dom Alcuin will speak about his
new book, Sacred Liturgy, and "The Elements and Future of the
Liturgical Movement." He will speak
on Friday 20 June at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Church on West Avenue in Norwalk,
CT.
His
second talk will be on Sunday 22 June after Vespers (2:30 p.m.) at the Church of
the Holy Innocents on West 37th Street, between Broadway and 7th
Avenue. This is a marvelous opportunity to hear and meet this eminent
liturgical scholar and supporter of the Traditional Roman Mass.

place from June 21 to July 4, 2014, a time when our liturgical calendar
celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of
persecution by political power—St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, St. John the
Baptist, SS. Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of
Rome.
The theme of
this year's Fortnight will focus on the freedom to serve the poor and vulnerable
in accord with human dignity and the Church's teaching.
