Nun’s
Network fights for religious freedom from HHS mandate

Washington,
D.C. – Founded by
cloistered nuns, Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN)’s religious freedom case
will be heard on February 4th
(see video). The Becket Fund represents EWTN, which is being
forced to either violate its faith or pay millions in IRS fines. On July 1,
2014, the 11th Circuit Court of
Appeals took the rare step of granting emergency
relief to EWTN. A Catholic network whose sole
purpose is to spread the word of God, EWTN must fight for the right to remain
faithful to the very religious message it advances.
