What the hell has Pope Francis done now?

Pro-Abortionist Nigel Biggar appointed to the Pontifical Academy for Life by Pope Francis
Quote LifeNews: "The Pontifical Academy for Life promotes protections for human life at all stages and supports research on moral and bioethical issues. It is influential world-wide in promoting Catholic teachings on abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research and other issues involving life and family.
Biggar, a professor of theology at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom, has made past statements in support of abortion and possibly even limited euthanasia, The National Catholic Register reports."
Our Holy Father - who is supposed to uphold, teach and advance the Catholic faith, has just placed an abortion advocate to the Ordinary Members of the Pontifical Academy for Life.

What the hell?!

Seriously, this sort of crap infuriates me!

It's like putting Nancy Pelosi in charge of the Pro-life March!

Biggar:  “I would be inclined to draw the line for abortion at 18 weeks after conception, which is roughly about the earliest time when there is some evidence of brain activity, and therefore of consciousness. In terms of maintaining a strong social commitment to preserving human life in hindered forms, and in terms of not becoming too casual about killing human life, we need to draw the line much more conservatively.”

“It’s not clear that a human foetus is the same kind of thing as an adult or a mature human being, and therefore deserves quite the same treatment. It then becomes a question of where we draw the line, and there is no absolutely cogent reason for drawing it in one place over another.”

So Biggar is "inclined to draw the line for abortion at 18 weeks after conception" while Christ's Holy Catholic Church teaches all abortion is opposed to moral law.  Pope Francis just tossed moral law out the window and replaced it with a pro-abort who isn't "clear that a human foetus is the same kind of thing as an adult".

What the hell were you thinking Pope Francis?

The Catholic Church
Catecism #2271 Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable. Direct abortion, that is to say, abortion willed either as an end or a means, is gravely contrary to the moral law:You shall not kill the embryo by abortion and shall not cause the newborn to perish. 75God, the Lord of life, has entrusted to men the noble mission of safeguarding life, and men must carry it out in a manner worthy of themselves. Life must be protected with the utmost care from the moment of conception: abortion and infanticide are abominable crimes. 76
Catechism #2274 "Since it must be treated from conception as a person, the embryo must be defended in its integrity, cared for, and healed, as far as possible, like any other human being.Prenatal diagnosis is morally licit, "if it respects the life and integrity of the embryo and the human fetus and is directed toward its safe guarding or healing as an individual.... It is gravely opposed to the moral law when this is done with the thought of possibly inducing an abortion, depending upon the results: a diagnosis must not be the equivalent of a death sentence."

Biggar doesn't believe what the Catholic Church teaches on life, so why on God's green earth would the pope put such a man in the Pontifical Academy for Life?

I am, once more, completely baffled by the actions of this pope.

He worries about the scandal some priests in Nigeria might be causing because they opposed his choice in a Bishop (see my post from yesterday), but he apparently has no worries about the scandal HE causes by putting a pro-choice abortion supporter on the Pontifical Academy for Life.

I can't help but think of the prophecies of Anne Catherine Emmerich about those inside the Church working hard to destroy it from within.

Unbelievably sad.

  1. Oh boy, I can't wait to see Catholic Answers, CMTV and EWTN hold Francis's feet to the fire - it's going to be glorious!

    Oh wait....

  2. Julie, it really is time you consider sedevacantism. You will sleep easier at night.

    1. Bergoglio placed "Bishop" Paglia who commissioned a homoerotic painting over the altar of the cathedral---to be the head of the Pontifical Life Academy. The painting also depicted Paglia himself in a homo embrace and used the face of a local gay hairdresser for the face of the Christ. Nothing shocks me anymore.

Yes sedevacantism is a great comfort today. If that wasn't an option, I'm not sure where I would be. I converted to the Church after having attended a Catholic Project Rachel retreat.

  3. To Tom A. and Seattle Kim,

Sedevacantism will never be the answer. You don't jump out of the boat when a storm hits, you hang on and ride it out.

Praying for your return to the Holy Catholic Church that Christ founded.

    1. I can't speak for Tom A, but many of us believe the deformed new rites of priestly ordination and bishop consecration are very likely invalid meaning all priests and bishops ordained or consecrated in the new rites are doubtful at best. It was a nefarious plan to bring about the destruction of the Church. But the Church continues anyway----just not in the mainstream Vatican 2 apostate churches.

I haven't left the Church at all, Julie. After 12 years in the Novus Ordo, enduring questionable homilies and teachings, I feel like I am just discovering my faith in an independent traditional Latin chapel.

  4. Edison,

I bet Raymond Arroyo will at least mention it on his show The World Over on EWTN. In the news segment of Church Militant they reported that the pope had done this, but didn't give their opinions on the matter- at least as far as I have seen so far. Perhaps today?

  5. It's pretty obvious that Bergoglio is doing everything within his power to destroy the Church, under the guise of "mercy". Of course he will eventually fail, but the long term damage will be immense, including a possible schism (we're already in a de facto schism). Not to mention, he's forever ruined the word "mercy" for me. The question is, how long will the faithful bishops wait, until they decide to take definitive action against this imposter?

    The hour is getting late...

  6. I don't know why anyone gets in a lather about sedevacantism, a sure sign I don't understand these things very well, but, I say just hang on doing the best you can, read Scripture, deepen your prayer life, attend the Latin Rite as often as you can, and consider it a merit to be living in such horrible times and still be calling yourself a Roman Catholic.
Hey that's a great graphic Julie, that little graphic is well done and pretty well captures how I feel many days.
He's horrible, but darn it, he's not going to steal my Catholic faith. It's impossible not to feel terrible he is wrecking the Church and filling nations with enemy combatants.
Jesus, have mercy on us. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us.

  7. I agree--great graphic. "Bishop" Paglia of homoerotic altar painting fame and head of the Pontifical academy for life defends Biggars' (an Anglican) appointment because his expertise is supposedly in defense against euthanasia.

    Remember--it's all about ecumenism today.

  8. Oops--It's also about environmentalism too.

  9. All five million unborn babies alive in America today can be killed tomorrow, legally and unstoppably, on the whim of their mothers

This is the truth of the genocide of abortion in America today. The strong legally kill the weak, the powerful kill the defenseless, older people have the authority to kill younger people if it is their “choice”. The entire generation of individual, unique, completely innocent living human beings is targeted for extermination and has been for 44 years. 60 million have been murdered since 1973, more than 3,000 per day in the USA.

Who can comprehend the depths of intolerable evil of this vicious slaughter in America today? The government approves it and funds it. One million mothers pay blood money to choose it every year. Medical professionals execute it. The mothers commit murder and the babies are murdered with little resistance from Americans.

    STOP ABORTION NOW!
