She used to be a Christian youth minister at Hope Church in Wilton, Connecticut. In or out of the Church?

--

Edison, I too see Pope Francis as being "overtly hostile" to much of our Faith. I don't know any other way to describe it with the things he says and does. We are in a sad situation in the Church these days. God help us all.

Connecticut Catholic Cornerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11640448130713614258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1149438906545544596.post-41886275774337712432017-07-14T08:30:26.446-04:002017-07-14T08:30:26.446-04:00Francis doesn't have the Faith, in fact, he...Francis doesn't have the Faith, in fact, he's overtly hostile to it....so no surprises there.

CMTV is under Opus Dei influence, so don't expect any critique of Francis....they're all about power, not Catholicism.Edison Frisbeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00595670494917940925noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1149438906545544596.post-34525077984928514332017-07-14T06:56:16.174-04:002017-07-14T06:56:16.174-04:00That quote you have by PF about not wanting to con...That quote you have by PF about not wanting to convert Evangelicals really baffled me, Julie (at the time... and still does).

There are many directions one can take with it, but I suppose if one looks at how Evangelicals are converting many-many Catholics, in South America alone, the quote by the pope is disconcerting.

Okay-okay, I know he is supposed to be a bridge builder and all of that, but what about building a bridge to those who are *leading souls away* from Christ's one True Church? They are leading them from the Holy Eucharist about which our Blessed Lord says, "Truly, truly I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you;" (John 6:53)

Fine, if he (PF) does not want to do it how about encouraging Catholics to get to know their Faith and engage in apologetics with said Evangelicals to save their souls and the ones they lead astray?

[sigh]

Fairly discouraging.Catechist Kevhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04692973475298278544noreply@blogger.com
