JPII trusted the Bishops to handle the abusers. On this, JPII failed, because he put his trust in unworthy Bishops.

My reasons for believing JPII is a Saint and many, but one is actually found in Scripture.

James 5:19-20 "My brethren, if any one among you wanders from the truth and some one brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins."

This Scripture along with Luke 15:7... "In the same way, I tell you, there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance."

Pope John Paul II was a great pope. People loved him dearly. He was an inspiration to many -especially after he got shot and forgave the man. He was not perfect, he made errors, but he without a doubt saved souls from Hell. He also had a great love for the Queen of Heaven and promoted enormous devotion to her. What I'm saying is, while he may have fallen several times along the way, he did great things out of love to save souls and inspired Catholics (and others) to love Our Lord and lead better lives.

Finally, I didn't put any links on CM's comments area. I knew a link would get the comment kicked out. I merely quoted the article and gave the article title saying that any one who wanted to read the whole article could do a simple search of the title and find it as easily as I did.

Thanks again for your comments. His decision probably caused other children to be molested by Clergy who would/should have been removed from the Church. The fact that trials would be too cumbersome is a lame excuse. I mean what are we talking about here? The clergy are representatives of Jesus Christ. Jesus said "what you do to my little ones you do to me" I don't need to state the consequences of the clergy in the after life.
After reading that article I don't consider John Paul a Saint. Because of his actions many children were abused. Was it an error or something else?
Most Saints take 100's of years before they are canonized. What was the rush to canonize Pope John Paul?
If John Paul did this to prevent the scandal from coming out, it backfired. The fact that it was hidden was far worse than the scandal itself. That Clergy weren't punish for their crimes and moved from Parish to Parish without the Congregation being informed of why is a sin.The Church acted as a shield from prosecution by the local authorities.

As far as CM removing your article because of the content, I have tried to post links and they were removed also. It's their policy I presume.

God Bless!quinteastwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01595095585990366132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1149438906545544596.post-46864410759743053492022-12-28T08:01:25.042-05:002022-12-28T08:01:25.042-05:00Hello and thank you Janet, Merry Christmas! How can Pope Francis continue to interpret Vatican Council II and other Magisterial documents with the objective error and continue to be the pope ? How can he impose this false interpretation of the Council, with a fake premise, upon all the cardinals and bishops ?
I accept Pope Francis as the pope but he interprets Vatican Council II with a false premise instead of without it.So he changes the understanding of the Creeds and Catechisms and the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. This is first class heresy. How can a Catholic in mortal sin remain a pope ?

Like the popes from Pius XII he irrationally interprets the the baptism of desire(BOD)invincible ignorance)I.I) as not invisible but visible non Catholics who are personally known and are saved outside the Church. This is irrational. If there are any such people they would only be known to God. So the BOD and I.I cannot be postulated, by us humans, as being known examples of salvation outside the Church, making exclusive salvation in the Church obsolete. This is is the error of both the present two popes.

How can Pope Francis continue to interpret Vatican Council II and other Magisterial documents with the objective error and continue to be the pope ? How can he impose this false interpretation of the Council, with a fake premise, upon all the cardinals and bishops ?

This error is common in the Church and he does not correct it.

Even the Lefebvrists and sedevacantists make the same mistake as the liberals. So no one corrects the pope, since they are all part of the problem.

John Salza and Robert Siscoe author of True and False Pope will not comment on this subject. They interpreted Vatican Council II with the false premise and wrote their books.

Sedevacantist Louie Verrecchio will also not comment since he does not want to interpret Vatican Council II with a false premise and so have to affirm Feeneyite EENS. He is concerned about the persecution which will follow for his family.

Ann Barnhardt who does not accept Pope Francis as the pope agrees that there are no known cases of being saved in invincible ignorance in the present times and that they 'exist only on paper'. Yet she too is unable to interpret Vatican Council II without the false premise and affirm Feeneyite EENS. This is first class heresy like that of the two popes. So she cannot correct them.

The Lefebvrists too do not want to admit that Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre made an objective mistake when he accepted the Letter of the Holy Office 1949 and its irrationality which was repeated at Vatican Council II.This remained unknown to him. If he interpreted the Council without the false premise there would be no rupture with Tradition and no need to form the SSPX.

The sedevacantist Most Holy Family Monastery, USA also interprets

Vatican Council II with the false premise and not without it.Then they wrongly blame the Council. They make the same mistake as the present two popes they cannot appeal to Pope Francis to correct the error..- Lionel Andrades

Catholic Missionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06025127342963192930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1149438906545544596.post-11930739450649430632021-02-21T11:22:33.909-05:002021-02-21T11:22:33.909-05:00Thank you all. The park was lovely even in winter, when I would skate on its pond. Since 1971 I've been stationed in Beirut, Lebanon, but now that we are locked down I have time to remember.
You are quite right to see how the Church has changed and to fight for what must not change.
