Pope Francis on another plane answering questions...what could go wrong?

Quote: In an hour-long conversation with reporters on the plane taking him back to Rome from Armenia, the pontiff was asked if he agreed with recent comments by a German Roman Catholic cardinal that the Church should apologise to gay people.
The pope recalled Church teachings, saying: “[Gay people] should not be discriminated against. They should be respected, accompanied pastorally.
“I think that the Church not only should apologise … to a gay person whom it offended but it must also apologise to the poor as well, to the women who have been exploited, to children who have been exploited by (being forced to) work. It must apologise for having blessed so many weapons.”

How exactly has the Church "offended" gays?  By stating Catholic teaching?
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, 141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." 142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Too freaking bad!

I think I have a better idea Holy Father...

How about the gays apologize to Catholics for pushing their wicked, abominations on us and our families in politics, schools and work places?

How about these homosexuals apologize to us for demanding we bake them cakes, photograph them and do their flower arrangements for their abominable homosexual unions they are call "marriage"?

How about they apologize to us for suing us when Christians don't want to cooperate with such evil?

How about we tell these prideful gays what the Saints have to say about homosexuals in sexual relationships?

How about that Holy Father?

*On a side note, I am very interested to see which Catholic media outlets do as the pope says and offer apologies to the gays they may have offended and ask for forgiveness from these gays.

Who will do as the pope asks?  EWTN? Catholic Answers? Catholic Digest? Church Militant? Aleteia? Our Sunday Visitor? Patheos? The Remnant?  The Wanderer? Catholic365? Will any Catholic media outlet offer an apology? (vote in my sidebar poll)

In Christ and NOT apologizing for my Faith,

  1. Your survey should include the option "unfortunately yes" as it would not surprise me if one of our local priests (here in the Norwich Diocese) offers up an apology...

Thank you for this blog, I feel less alone in my daily struggles!

  2. Why can't the Pope just sit and read a book on the plane like the rest of us do?

  3. hasn't America magazine been offering apologies for years?

  4. Many in the Episcopate SHOULD apologize to those who actively engage in the sin of Sodom for not calling them to repentance. Many in the Episcopate SHOULD apologize to those who are suffering from homosexual inclinations for not easing the burden from their backs, and often making it heavier. Many in the Episcopate SHOULD apologize to the laity and the world at large, for failing to minimally preach Christ crucified.

It is one thing to complain about material poverty, completely another thing to complain and engage in spiritual theft.

  5. It didn't take my apostate commie brother very long to post this on his Fakebook page. His apostate children were very quick to "like" the Pope's statement.

Not one of them practices the faith, so why should they care what the Pope says?

  6. Thank you all for the comments.

Sensei Mitch...I know many of the priests in the Norwich Diocese and I do believe you are correct. I am sure of two parishes in the Norwich Diocese I could go into for Mass this weekend and more than likely hear a priest's homily apologizing to gays for the Catholic Faith. :(

Cathy D, from your lips to God's ears! ;)

    God bless.

  7. Just want to add something here, anyone who hasn't yet read Msgr. Charles Pope's article on Pope Francis and the damage the pope's statements have caused should really read this:

  8. A suggested edit to your post title -- "Pope Francis on another plane OF REALITY answering questions" -- 'cause he's plainly out of touch with our reality."

  9. If you speak Truth out of care for souls, you are to blame for Islamic Jihad and marginalizing “gays”.

If you speak Truth out of care for souls, you need to apologize and beg forgiveness.

If you speak Truth out of care for souls, you are the weeds.

  10. It is becoming more and more obvious. The sedes. are right!

  11. Rand Miller, the sedes. do NOT have it right. Don't be deceived.
Having a "bad" pope doesn't not make the Holy Roman Catholic Church wrong, it means we've got a rotten pope for the time being. It's happened before and will probably happen again.

Remember Peter's response to Christ, there is no where else to go but to stick with Christ and His Holy Roman Catholic Church IS Christ's Church- the one and only. Never forget that no matter who the pope is.

    In Christ,
