TONIGHT, May 13, at 6:00 pmSt. George Church (Whitfield Street on the Guilford Green) will observe a special prayer vigil and procession with the Fatima Statue around the Guilford Green to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima.

After the vigil, we will have a simple dinner (pasta, salad, dessert, beverages) in the Church Hall, as well as craft activities for the children.

“Good Shepherd Holy Hour” for vocations, on Thursday, May 15, 6:30-7:30pm at St. Stanislaus Church (State and Eld Streets), New Haven.
The Archdiocese of Hartford will have 7 new priests on May 17. Please come and pray before Jesus in the Eucharist in thanksgiving for these new priests, and for the gift of new vocations. The holy hour is time for personal and communal prayer before Jesus exposed in the Blessed Sacrament concluding with Benediction.
The Church is handicapped accessible and there is a secure parking lot behind the church.

Following are events which will occur during the month of May at the Shrine of Lourdes in Litchfield, 50 Montfort Rd., Rte. 118, Litchfield, CT 06759:
    
May 18th:  Annual Blessing of Motorcycles will begin @ 1:30 pm.  There is
                  no 3:00 pm service today.

May 25thAnnual May Crowning of the Blessed Mother’s statue in the Grotto will be held at the conclusion of the 11:30 Mass.  Following this celebration, there will be the monthly prayer of the Sacrament of the Sick.

Novena to St. Rita: May 14 to 22
St. Rita Church in Hamden (1620 Whitney Avenue) will honor its patroness with a novena commencing May 14 and concluding on her feast day on May 22. Mass will be offered at 7:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. on weekdays and at 7:30 a.m. on Sat. May 17. The rosary and novena prayers will be prayed beginning 30 minutes before the start of each Mass. A relic of St. Rita will be available for veneration immediately after each Mass. St. Rita is invoked for many causes; among them are saint of the impossible and advocate of reconciliation; example of a wife and mother; and healer of relationships. All are welcome.

An Education & Craft Fair sponsored by Adoro Te Home Educators, a Catholic homeschooling group, loyal to the Magisterium through Pope Francis.  The date is Saturday, May 17, from 9am to 12noon in St. Peter's Hall at Holy Apostles College & Seminary in Cromwell.  There will be crafts for kids, used curriculum & book sale, baked goods, craft vendors, people to answer questions about their Catholic homeschooling experience and much more.  Tables are still available to rent for only $10 each.
