NBC's NEW Demon Fighting Exorcist show

Move over prime time vampire, werewolf and crime shows.  NBC is premiering a demon hunting exorcist named John Constantine, but he's no Catholic priest.

What caught my eye were two of the supporting actors shown in the trailer. Fans of "LOST" will notice a few friendly (or not so friendly looking) faces in NBC's new "Constantine" show scheduled to premiere next fall.

The show is about a damned exorcist "John Constantine" who battles the demons in demon possessed people.  Along the way (from what is mentioned in the video), he seems to find a little hope for his own salvation.

From NBC:
Based on the wildly popular comic book series "Hellblazer" from DC Comics, seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine specializes in giving hell... hell. Armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts and his wickedly naughty wit, he fights the good fight - or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he's decided to leave his do-gooder life behind. But when demons target Liv, the daughter of one of Constantine's oldest friends, he's reluctantly thrust back into the fray - and he'll do whatever it takes to save her. Before long, it's revealed that Liv's "second sight," an ability to see the worlds behind our world and predict supernatural occurrences, is a threat to a mysterious new evil that's rising in the shadows. And now it's not just Liv who needs protection; the angels are starting to get worried too. So, together, Constantine and Liv must use her power and his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world - and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows... maybe there's hope for him and his soul after all.
From Executive Producer David S. Goyer ("Batman Begins," "The Dark Knight Rises") and director Neil Marshall ("Game of Thrones," "The Descent") comes a dark new thriller that proves fighting evil is a hell of a jobOne-hour drama -end-

OK, so I like the "fighting evil is a hell of job" hook and because I was a fan of "LOST" I already know I am going to tune in to see Harold Perrineau (LOST's Michael) and Jeremy Davies (LOST's time traveling genius Daniel) in "Constantine".

  1. The Catholic Church has all sorts of hocus-pocus to scare poor, ignorant people and keep control of them while keeping those donations coming in. I bet you didn't know that you cannot get into Heaven or even speak to God without going through a priest, did you? I believed that mumbo-jumbo for a while but then, I woke up, cut the Catholic Church out of the loop and went straight to God, myself. You know what, this time, I got through to Him.

    1. Your Protestant comments are incorrect. You merely speculate what you think about Jesus's Church. You know nothing.

  2. Alvin, I completely agree with you! Actually surprised how Julie can be a fan of LOST at all considering the references to non-Catholic notions and the ending of the series. Indoctrination at its finest in the church and in this blog.

  3. It's funny if you knew the reality of possession maybe you would keep your mouth shut, it's real believe me, the only people who can exorcise are catholic priests, and when was the last time you went to church?? They make maybe 10 dollars a mass by donation, and all that money goes to helping the poor, learn your damn role and grow up, you need a spanking you liberal chickenshit

    1. Your comments are absolutely correct. The truth will no be silenced. There is an article about an exorcism and the devil laughed at the Protestant minister. The only way the exorcism was successful was by the Sacred Host.
