Taking another look at Theresa Caputo the Long Island Medium

One of my most popular blog posts of all time was the one I did about Theresa Caputo the "Long Island Medium" back in 2013.  Each year when the cable channel TLC's new season of "Long Island Medium" begins I get more people reading the old post.

I am reposting it today because I think what Theresa Caputo is doing is very, very harmful to people who don't know what Christianity (Catholic and protestant) teach on the subject of "mediums". I do not think Theresa Caputo is an evil woman, I believe she is a deceived woman who is spreading heresy and that makes her very dangerous. She calls herself a Catholic while she shuns Catholic teaching on reincarnation. She believes she knows more than Christ's Holy Catholic Church and the Disciples themselves!

This is very dangerous to her soul and to those who foolishly follow her and believe in the heretical beliefs she promotes on her television show. This is nothing to ignore. If your children, family and friends watch this show, please warn them how dangerous it is. Look at the authentic Catholic resources and teachings given in the original article and share them with those you know who believe in what Theresa Caputo is saying and doing. Warn them against her heresies. You might just save a soul!

Original post in 2013: http://connecticutcatholiccorner.blogspot.com/2013/05/long-island-medium-theresa-caputo-works.html

The comments from the original post are worth taking a look at to see how confused Christians are by this subject and how defensive and protective they are of Theresa Caputo because she "makes people feel good".

I hope after you read this post you will click the above link to read the comments left by so many confused people.

Long Island Medium (Theresa Caputo) works for Satan

She’s charming, she’s whacky, and she’s got funny hair and crazy fingernails- she’s also working for the devil.

Sound harsh?  Good.

Theresa Caputo, AKA “The Long Island Medium” seen weekly on the TLC cable channel, is the devil’s own Pied Piper leading people along the devil’s path.
Does she know it?  Probably not, but she should.

Caputo is a psychic- yes they do exist.  I am not talking about the “Miss Cleo” types who randomly make up anything to make a billion (yes, that’s right) dollars.  I am talking about the psychics who actually do see and hear things. They exist.  The trouble is not that they see and hear things per se (many Saints had that gift), it’s who is behind what they see and hear and the fact that Caputo does not have the discernment to know its evil.

What do I mean by ‘evil’?  I mean anything that is against God’s Will is evil.  You might be a fan of Caputo’s who watches the shows and say to me: “She helps people by making them feel better!”   I bet a lot of pot smokers out there would tell you the same thing about pot – yet it would remain damaging to your lungs no matter how good it might make a person feel.

Associating with psychics is damaging to a person’s soul.   It jeopardizes a person’s salvation.  How?

First of all, what Caputo is teaching from her television show is heretical to Catholic teaching- to ALL Christian teaching.

Reincarnation.

Sunday, May 26th (2013), the “Long Island Medium” told her audience that she had lived past lives when she went into a ‘past life regression’ session to find out why she was ‘chosen’ to be a psychic.  Any Christian worth their salt will tell you the bible flat out refutes ‘reincarnation’ completely…

Hebrews 9:27  “And just as it is appointed for men to die once, and after that comes judgment"

In another episode, Caputo told a woman her dead daughter’s soul was now “reborn” into the body of her newest grandchild.  Poppycock!

Reincarnation comes from Eastern religions like Buddhism- it is a heresy to ALL Christian groups, Catholic and Protestant alike.  A person is ONE soul and ONE body together.  A person dies when the soul separates from the body.  The Resurrection is about the soul reuniting with the body for eternity- in Heaven or Hell, at Judgment Day.

That is the basis of Christian belief in the Resurrection (yes, some Christians believe in ‘soul sleep’ but that is for another discussion).  The “Resurrection of the Body” is not about an animated corpse because the soul has now been placed into yet another body and another and another. There is ONE soul for ONE body.  That’s it.  Period.

So what about Caputo’s “gift”?  Is she making it all up?  Is it a hoax?  Why is it wrong to hear what a psychic has to say if it makes you feel better?

It’s the devil’s path.  The spirit world exists; there is no doubt about it. Christians know there is life after death- heaven or hell, are our final destinations, its one or the other for eternity (Matt. 25:46).  We know there are angels and demons.  We know there are people in Purgatory. Some people can see them – numerous Saints have seen them and wrote about them – they are often called ‘ghosts’.

St. Bernard, in his life of St. Malachy shares this case…     “This saint relates that one day he saw his sister, who had been dead for some time.  She was doing her purgatory in a cemetery.  On account of her vanity and the attention she had devoted to her hair and body, she had been sentenced to live in the very grave where she had been buried, and to witness the dissolution of her body.  The saint offered the Sacrifice of the Mass for her for thirty days; at the end of this period he saw his sister again.  This time she had been sentenced to complete her purgatory at the gate of the church, doubtless because of her irreverent demeanor in the holy place; perhaps she had distracted the faithful from the Sacred Mysteries in order to draw eyes and appreciation to herself.  She was exceedingly sad, wearing a mourning veil, and was in extreme anguish.  The saint offered the Sacrifice once more for thirty days, and she appeared to him for the last time in the sanctuary, with unruffled countenance, radiant in a white robe. The Bishop knew by this sign that his sister had gained her deliverance.”

[Source:  “The End of the Present World”, written by Father Charles Arminjon.  Page 153]

Even Jesus Christ was mistaken for a ghost, not once but twice in scripture.

Matt. 14:26 “When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.”
Luke 24:39 “Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.”

Here in Luke 24, Jesus clarifies that ghosts do not have bodies, they are spirit only.  He tells them He still has his body.  The body and soul are RESURRECTED together.  This is as it will be for all of us.  ONE body and ONE soul.

What psychics are doing is allowing (encouraging) their “spirit guides” (as Caputo and others call them) to show them things and let them hear things.

These “spirit guides” are demonic.  Guardian Angels from God would NOT direct people to believe in heresy, nor would they direct people to go against the Word of God in Scripture or against Church teaching.  The “angels” who do this are FALLEN angels- demons.  They WANT people to be deceived and to believe in the devils powers, this is how they win souls for hell.

The devil has power – for now.  And he uses it to deceive, trick and lead people away from God and the Truth of Christianity.  This is where Caputo is leading people astray.  She’s been deceived by the devil and her “spirit guide” to go AGAINST the Word of God.  She’s been deceived into believing she’s lived passed lives.

The demons (AKA "spirit guides") are showing her these things and she’s fallen for their deception hook, line and sinker.  She actually thinks what the demons show her, are lives her soul has lived in the past- no such thing! She’s been deceived and she is spreading that deception to others.

A quick look at her "Long Island Medium" Facebook page shows the horrid ripple effect of her deception spreading worldwide to ignorant people. People pleading with her to please contact the dead for them. It's retched.

I don’t doubt that Caputo and others like her actually believe what they are doing is ‘good’ and even helpful to people, but it’s not.  Her "well intentions" aren't really helping anyone, it's harming people.  It is jeopardizing the souls of thousands of people.  It is deceiving people from the Truth, into heresy and perhaps even into occult and demonic practices. How?  This stuff is addicting.

It’s like a drug. People go to one psychic then another, then another.  They begin to want to see what they can do, so they play with Tarot Cards or Spirit boards (Ouija board) and CALL “spirits” to them.  The spirits who answer are demonic.

The devil doesn’t show himself as gruesome with horns, hooves and forked tail – who would listen to or follow that?!  The devil appears as “an angel of light” according to the Bible.  This is how he tricks people.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15  Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (RSVCE)      13 “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.”

Now who does that sound like to you?

In the book “An Exorcist Tells His Story”, Father Gabriele Amorth, an exorcist priest in the Catholic Church tells about the power of the devil and exorcism’s he performed to release people from the power of the devil.

On pages 40 and 41, Father Amorth shares a story of a witness who calls himself “Erasmus of Bari” (as published in the magazine “Rinnovamento dello Spirito” in September 1987). Erasmus of Bari tells how he was given gifts that he at first thought were from God- amazing gifts.
The gift of [page 40 – direct quote] “clairvoyance, mind reading, medical diagnosing, reading of hearts and lives of people both living and dead, and other powers.  A few months later I received another faculty; the ability to take away pain merely by the imposition of hands.  I could eliminate or alleviate any sort of suffering…”

He goes on to say that he knew it was off because it wasn’t from God.  He wasn’t living a changed life for God. He was “quick to anger, slow in pardoning, easily resentful, and given to take offense at nothing.”

Realizing he wasn’t being gifted by God with abilities, he knew the only other source was the devil himself.  His “gifts” were not divine from God to do ‘good’ but rather diabolical and from Satan! He'd been deceived!  As soon as he was prayed over and asked God for help the “gifts” disappeared.

Now how many people would think the devil would “do good” by giving gifts to take away people’s suffering? This is the deception! This is what the Bible means when it says the devil APPEARS as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14). It’s a deception and people need to be ALERT all the time.

Caputo probably honestly believes she is doing good (see her Facebook page) and that God gave her this “gift” – she is wrong just as “Erasmus of Bari” was wrong.

Don’t be deceived by psychics who themselves are deceived. Some psychics are in it for the money (Miss Cleo), some for the fame (Sylvia Browne) and others like Caputo who seem to believe they are helping people, but what they are all doing is spreading deception and doing the devil's work.

Don’t be led down the devils path by anyone. Trust in God. Don’t go looking for answers from anywhere else. God loves you, all of you, even the psychics and He wants you to reject the temptations of the devil and put all our trust in Him. You don’t need to contact anyone dead. You’re alive, live that life for God so that one day you will be resurrected, body and soul together for eternity in heaven.

Pray for Theresa Caputo, others like her and all who've fallen for the devil's trap.

Most of these people are GOOD people who have been deceived, don't hate on them, just love them, pray for them and TEACH them the Truth before it's too late.  And please, please, please DO NOT LET YOUR KIDS WATCH THIS STUFF!

God bless.

Authentic Catholic teaching:
Catholic Catechism: #2115 God can reveal the future to his prophets or to other saints. Still, a sound Christian attitude consists in putting oneself confidently into the hands of Providence for whatever concerns the 305 future, and giving up all unhealthy curiosity about it. Improvidence, however, can constitute a lack of responsibility.
Catholic Catechism: #2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to "unveil" the future.[48] Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.
Catholic Catechism: #2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another's credulity.
Catholic Catechism: #1013    Death is the end of man’s earthly pilgrimage, of the time of grace and mercy which God offers him so as to work out his earthly life in keeping with the divine plan, and to decide his ultimate destiny. When “the single course of our earthly life” is completed,586 we shall not return to other earthly lives: “It is appointed for men to die once.”587 There is no “reincarnation” after death.

  2. Because the Vatican 2 document Nostra Aetate recognized both Buddhism and Hinduism as "paths to God" (and this is echoed in the current catechism), I see no reason why any "Catholic" who accepts Vatican 2 and who accepts the "hierarchy" that promulgates it----can't incorporate a little reincarnation into their "Catholicism."

  3. Sede Seattle Kim, that is NOT what Nostra Aetate says. That is your interpretation of the document.

Quote: "2.From ancient times down to the present, there is found among various peoples a certain perception of that hidden power which hovers over the course of things and over the events of human history; at times some indeed have come to the recognition of a Supreme Being, or even of a Father. This perception and recognition penetrates their lives with a profound religious sense.

Religions, however, that are bound up with an advanced culture have struggled to answer the same questions by means of more refined concepts and a more developed language. Thus in Hinduism, men contemplate the divine mystery and express it through an inexhaustible abundance of myths and through searching philosophical inquiry. They seek freedom from the anguish of our human condition either through ascetical practices or profound meditation or a flight to God with love and trust. Again, Buddhism, in its various forms, realizes the radical insufficiency of this changeable world; it teaches a way by which men, in a devout and confident spirit, may be able either to acquire the state of perfect liberation, or attain, by their own efforts or through higher help, supreme illumination. Likewise, other religions found everywhere try to counter the restlessness of the human heart, each in its own manner, by proposing "ways," comprising teachings, rules of life, and sacred rites. The Catholic Church rejects nothing that is true and holy in these religions. She regards with sincere reverence those ways of conduct and of life, those precepts and teachings which, though differing in many aspects from the ones she holds and sets forth, nonetheless often reflect a ray of that Truth which enlightens all men. Indeed, she proclaims, and ever must proclaim Christ "the way, the truth, and the life" (John 14:6), in whom men may find the fullness of religious life, in whom God has reconciled all things to Himself.(4)

The Church, therefore, exhorts her sons, that through dialogue and collaboration with the followers of other religions, carried out with prudence and love and in witness to the Christian faith and life, they recognize, preserve and promote the good things, spiritual and moral, as well as the socio-cultural values found among these men.[end quote]

  4. I think you just proved my point. Before Vat 2 these religions were considered pagan and their gods demons. Now the "church" admires and respects and 'reveres' these religions. The 'church' is no longer called to convert pagans.
If the 'church' 'reveres' these religions now, I completely understand why nuns practice Buddhist meditation, why I received a Native American smudging at the first 'catholic' church I ever attended, and why the head of the pro-life committee at another parish I attended believed in the possibility of reincarnation.

I was very disappointed when I read Nostra Aetate 10 years after my conversion and wondered if I might not be happier elsewhere. I've always been very attracted to the idea of reincarnation.

Then I realized that the Novus Ordo is really just an altogether different religion.

  5. Teresa Caputo is really a poster child for
    Novus Ordoism.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Julie's comment does NOT prove Sede Seattle Kim 's point.

As Nostra Aetate says only that "The Catholic Church rejects nothing that is true and holy in these religions." Therefore that which other religions believe that is not true and not holy is rejected. So if only one statement by a pagan religion is actually true and holy, then that one statement alone is not rejected, but the entire rest of the religion is rejected. According to the teachings of the Catholic Church, reincarnation is not one of those truths.

It further says "regards with sincere reverence those ways of conduct and of life, those precepts and teachings which, though differing in many aspects from the ones she holds and sets forth, nonetheless often reflect a ray of that Truth which enlightens all men." so clearly it is ONLY those precepts and teachings that are truth that is revered by the Catholic Church. Again according to the Catholic Church, reincarnation is not among those precepts and teachings that reflect a ray of truth.

Sede Seattle's statement "I see no reason why any "Catholic" who accepts Vatican 2 and who accepts the "hierarchy" that promulgates it----can't incorporate a little reincarnation into their "Catholicism." is contradictory. If you truly accept Vatican II and the Hierarchy then you are accepting the teachings of that hierarchy. Since that hierarchy has always promulgated that there is no reincarnation, then anyone who believes in reincarnation is in fact not accepting the teachings of the hierarchy.

  9. Hey Julie,

It's time to take a look at Church Militant and Michael Voris, too.

    http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/engel/170419

I understand you've been a fan, but the truth is worth pursuing. Especially when those who fancy themselves the arbiter of what's what have their own lies and falsehoods (CM is not influenced by outside forces) trapped and exposed.

    @ Deacon Ron

As for Nostra Aetate and the "reverence" for other religions, it is time that the Vatican clearly define what is meant by such. Sorry, Deacon Ron, but it is precisely the soft speak of Vatican II that has left not only Catholics lost and subsequently going Sede, but it has left those Catholics who would rightly evangelize others being left holding a bag of confusing appeasement language. Explaining the subtleties of Vatican II has left the Lord's admonishment that one's yes mean yes and one's no mean no held hostage under a tarp of mandated confusion.

In practical application, one cannot in all truth, revere the misuse of that which is "true" to lead people into false religions. A sprinkling of truth atop a poisonous cake makes that cake all the more dangerous to the soul. Why? Because it has "some" truth, some appeal.

Time to speak clearly about the novelties within VII that are not binding on Catholics. I cannot tell you how many non-Catholic Christians berate the Catholic Church for CCC 841 which takes its shape from Nostra Aetate which does not carry the same binding authority of those portions of Vatican II that merely restated Catholic doctrine.

So have some mercy on Sede Seattle Kim. Have some mercy, too, on those who rightfully call out Michael Voris and CM for having a different and hidden agenda.

    God bless!

  10. Julie thanks for another great reminder about Teresa Caputo and her program. People are often so unaware or so poorly catechized they do not recognize the dangers of these occult activities. Don't we all see at our local schools yoga classes for children, even perhaps Reiki, which is also available at our senior centers and hospices? We aren't taught about these dangerous practices, I often have to try to educate my family about them.

We see why, here. The language in Nostra Aetate is exceedingly complex language. We can create simple sentences or terribly complex sentences, or something in between. The language in that document is complex, and it is confoundedly hard for many people to correctly interpret complex language. It depends a bit on our language grasp and reading comprehension. The language in the document is truly soft on it's point, if it was trying to make the point, that Hinduism or Buddhism are incompatible with the Christian faith.
Why not just say that? There is far too much fudging around, tip toeing, not being direct. We need more direct language, but that does not seem to be the goal. Abstract language causes confusion. We can clearly see the document talks about these Eastern religions in a more friendly or positive way than earlier Church teaching did.
We did better when heresy was called heresy, paganism was called paganism, hell was called hell. Reading that document, people aren't so sure if Hinduism or Buddhism is so bad, sounds like there is some "holy truth" there, and if the people can't properly interpret the language, it is easy for dissenting bishops or priests or religious to manipulate it in such a way as to present the content the way he or she wants it interpreted.
    Language matters.

To Kathleen: You are SPOT ON when you say "There is far too much fudging around, tip toeing, not being direct. We need more direct language, but that does not seem to be the goal. Abstract language causes confusion."

    That is it exactly!

I prefer the Church to speak plan and simple so there is no confusion and wayward Bishops can't twist things to their own ways.

When I read the Vatican II documents, there is nothing in there about facing the people during Mass, it was wayward Bishops to took that upon themselves to do and now we've got priests acting like televangelists entertaining the crowds instead of LEADING the people like good shepherds in worship of our Lord.

These things drive me batty and hope and pray that ONE DAY a pope will come along and straighten out this tilting ship.

  12. Greetings in Christ Patty, good to see you again.

    About the article:

    1) I have zero interest in Opus Dei

    2) I don't care if everyone at CM is a member

    3) I read the retched Jones book a year ago when it came out and found in highly offensive and disgusting. Pure slander of numerous Catholics- including Mother Angelica! The amount of backstabbing and revenge in that trash book would put any soap-opera to shame. Jones is a disgusting individual and so are his spineless lily-livered "sources".

    4) I don't always agree 100% with Voris and the good folks at CM and when I don't I usually write about it here on my blog. I can respectfully disagree with them on issues while still admiring the good work they are doing- and they are doing good works.

  13. Julie,

Vatican documents are somewhat ambiguous for several reasons:

I agree with you totally about some priests who are "acting like televangelists entertaining the crowds instead of LEADING the people"
This is certainly not good. But it is caused more by poor priestly formation and cultural biases than by "wayword bishops" or Vatican documents.

Your statement "there is nothing in there about facing the people during Mass, it was wayward Bishops to took that upon themselves to do" is not entirely accurate. Paragraph 128 of the Vatican II Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy (a.k.a. Sacrosanctum Concilium} says ". . . Things which pertain to sacred worship should be revised as soon as possible, together with the liturgical books". This authorizes changes in the liturgy which were made official by the 1970 revision of the General Instruction on the Roman Missal which in paragraph 262 says "normally a church should have a fixed and dedicated altar, freestanding, away from the wall, so that the priest can walk all around it and can celebrate Mass facing the people."

This document which requires Mass facing the people, was developed and promulgated as required by Paragraph 128 of the Constitution on Sacred Liturgy and so is a result of Vatican 2.

Consider the fact that through parts of the Mass the priest and the people are talking to each other so facing each other would be normal and natural. Consider also the fact that since God is everywhere no matter what direction anyone faces they are facing God.

    Deacon Ron

    ReplyDelete
  14. Greetings in Christ Deacon Ron,
Question, why do the rubrics of the Mass still tell the priest when to "turn and face the people" ... if he's already facing the people?

Why do the rubrics tell him to do what he's already doing?

Instructions for the priest to "turn and face the people" (GIRM, 124, 146, 154, 157, 165)
Instructions for deacons to "turn and face the people" (GIRM, 138, 181, 185)

That (to me) is like what Kathleen was saying, the Church isn't always crystal clear in Her documents. If the rubrics says when to "turn and face the people" shouldn't the priests and deacons not be facing the people before hand?

Thanks for your time clearing this up!

    God bless!

    In Christ,

    Julie @ Connecticut Catholic Corner

If I had read the troublesome parts of Vatican 2 and the new catechism or if I had been aware of the Assisi celebrations and papal Koran smooching back in 2003, I would probably have never converted. If Francis had been 'pope' back then there is no way I would have even considered Catholicism because he is so clearly anti-Christian. I grew up Southern Baptist with a very strong knowledge of biblical morality.

I have met FSSP Catholics who tell me Vat 2 is only a pastoral document and can therefore be used as a birdcage liner.
That's ridiculous! The 'catholic' church of today with its new disfigured sacraments--especially its new rites of ordination, consecration and Mass---is simply a new church based mainly on---Vat 2 itself.

I converted to Novus Ordo after reading countless saint biographies. I kept wondering why the church seemed so different from the one I was reading about. Now I know why.

Back in 2004, I was a guest on EWTN's Life on the Rock believe it or not. Today I thank Francis for inspiring me to do more investigating about Vat 2 and it's origins and the intentions of its authors.

I believe there are a lot of sincere Catholics in the Novus Ordo---many who are more charitable and spiritual than me. But after comparing pre-Vat 2 teaching with the new teachings, it is glaringly obvious that this is a new and different church from the one Jesus established. The stress of being angry at Francis and his minions is gone now.

  17. @Deacon Ron:

Poor priestly formation is directly linked to wayward bishops and the intentional "pastoral" ambiguity of Vatican II documents. Those documents that are were not a reiteration of doctrine more deeply explained but of utter novelty proposed as a means of attempting to get along with others.

The notion that facing the people is equally representative because God dwells in them is a glowing example of a degraded formation. Why? Becuase Our Lord dwells in His Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament.

The call for a "revision" you reference is accurate. But a revision is not a complete overhaul wherein the the rite of mass is put to one side to form a new creation. Sorry. That's overreach. That is overreach predicated on shaky language - intentionally soft language - used to appease in VII followed up by the abrogation of the Oath Against Modernism which forbade novel interpreation of what words, etc mean.

Is there grace to be had at the Novus Ordo rite? Absolutely. Our Lord is present despite His being downplayed. But is there also a slow scandal wherein one begins to think that the presence of God is just as real in our fellows as in the Blessed Sacrament? Absolutely. Think about it. If the Real Presence is no more than just God in our fellow man, why, pray doesn't Holy Mother Church have us kneel to our fellows?

    Hmmm. Curious.

But not so curious when coupled with the removal of kneeling to receive Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. Do you see the subtle inculcation of ignoring the "Real" Presence of Our Blessed Lord and Savior. When people line up to receive God Almighty in their hand that's a telling sign to any outside observer that the person doesn't really treat God like God. Would you not cursy to the Queen of England as is proper? Of course. Proper ettiquete demands it.

    @Julie

I'm glad you read the article. As for Voris and Jones, while you yourself may not support Opus Dei, it is critical to understand that Voris and Jones obviousoly DO. This collusion, even if it's merely taking Opus Dei $$$, renders Voris's reporting and, most especially his bias in overreaching to declare schism, etc, where none exists is important as it will influence all the man does. (A good work that is done while secretly promoting an Opus Dei agenda, one that fudges the truth and puts forward the agenda of OD, is dangerous. Why? It's half truth. That's like the Devil in a pleasing business suit with a loan instead of him coming with horns, a tail and a stab with his pitchfork.)

So I'm glad you call Voris out when "you" disagree. That is great. But sadly the behind the scenes influence is what motivates many a program or series, programs that intentionally misrepresent and speak out of turn when declaring, especially, schism and seeking to calumniate otherwise good and holy men.

Not caring about whether anyone at CM is a member is like not caring that someone is on the board of an abortion business or being funded by George Soros because of "all the good they do". The mandates of Opus Dei are that of a secret society. So knowing where the money comes from and the underlying agenda is very important if one wants the truth. Getting already scandalized Catholics innured to take the "truth" from Voris who is compromised by taking $$$ from those promoting a secret agenda, especially coupled with his unconcionable hit pieces on traditional Catholics is dangerous. Poor sheep!

Much like the soft language - purposefully soft - in Vatican II documents. That didn't happen by accident, Julie. And neither does Voris's attempts to steer the flock he's gathering to himself to erroneous positions.

    With Shared prayers,
