Archbishop-elect Charles Brown was ordained in the Archdiocese of New York in 1989 and served at St. Brendan’s Parish in Bronx, N.Y. before becoming an official at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in 1994 under then-Cardinal Ratzinger as well as a Chaplain of His Holiness in 2000.
