The Gates of Hell will NOT prevail at the Synod...

So I haven’t been blogging much because I’ve been too busy pounding my head against a wall and fighting back the bile each time I read/hear about what is happening and coming out of the Synod.

Example:  Welcoming homosexual persons
"Homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to the Christian community: are we capable of welcoming these people, guaranteeing to them a fraternal space in our communities? Often they wish to encounter a Church that offers them a welcoming home. Are our communities capable of providing that, accepting and valuing their sexual orientation, without compromising Catholic doctrine on the family and matrimony? The question of homosexuality leads to a serious reflection on how to elaborate realistic paths of affective growth and human and evangelical maturity integrating the sexual dimension: it appears therefore as an important educative challenge. The Church furthermore affirms that unions between people of the same sex cannot be considered on the same footing as matrimony between man and woman. Nor is it acceptable that pressure be brought to bear on pastors or that international bodies make financial aid dependent on the introduction of regulations inspired by gender ideology.Without denying the moral problems connected to homosexual unions it has to be noted that there are cases in which mutual aid to the point of sacrifice constitutes a precious support in the life of the partners. Furthermore, the Church pays special attention to the children who live with couples of the same sex, emphasizing that the needs and rights of the little ones must always be given priority."

Let’s be clear…and I don’t give a rats ass what Bishop says what, there are NO GIFTS OR QUALITIES homosexuals IN homosexual relationships have to offer ANYONE- inside or outside the Church.  None. Zip.  Nada. Zilch.  Period.

Mortal sin is NOT a "gift" its an eternal death sentence!

Quote (while fighting back bile): The Church furthermore affirms that unions between people of the same sex cannot be considered on the same footing as matrimony between man and woman.

Well I should freaking hope not!!  Since one is a MORTAL -YOUR GOING TO HELL SIN and the other is a Holy Sacrament!

This blathering blasphemous drivel is just that, blasphemous blather that has driveled out of the mouth of Satan himself through his willing pawns inside the Church.

Catechism 2396 Among the sins gravely contrary to chastity are masturbation, fornication, pornography, and homosexual practices.

Homosexual practices are grave sin- it doesn’t matter if the couple (or polygamous group) are “married” in the eyes of any government.  God does not put Himself under man’s laws, man is supposed to put himself under God’s laws IF he wishes to have eternal life with Christ.

What can Catholics learn from any gay person in a homosexual sexual relationship?

How to go to Hell.

That is ALL you can learn from people who choose mortal sin over God.  Period.

Everyday my heart stands still in fear of what “Satan’s smoke inside the Church” is doing, and then I remind myself of Christ’s words…

Matthew 16:17-19 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)

17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

Don’t put your trust in ANY man (even those inside the Catholic Church if they reject/oppose or wish to change ANY of Her teachings), put all your trust in Christ.  Jesus promised the gates of hell would NOT prevail against His Holy Catholic Church and it won’t.

"You cannot please both God and the world at the same time.
They are utterly opposed to each other in their thoughts, their desires,
and their actions."
-Saint John Vianney

This is a test…and those who fail it might end up in eternal hell for their faithlessness. Stand firm in the true teaching of the Catholic faith and pray for the clergy leading people into heresy and mortal sin.

Catechism 2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, 141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered."142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
Catholic teaching is perfectly clear...even when her priests are not.

Catechism 2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Stand strong against the devils in the Church (they are many), trust in Christ’s word and KNOW that the blasphemous drivel coming out of the Vatican is NOT dogma- it is NOT Church teaching.  It is progressive’s seeking to protestantize Christ’s Holy Catholic Church.  They will not suceed any more than Martin Luther did before them.

Perhaps this will be a Great Purging for our Holy Church?

Instead of opening the doors wide to allow mortal sin to be redefined as a "gift" how about we open wide the doors and allow all those who reject the Faith to get the hell out?  Since when is heresy a special gift to be shared among the faithful?

It is ROT and if you allow it to remain it will spread and corrupt.

1 Corinthians 5 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
Sexual Immorality Defiles the Church
It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father’s wife. And you are arrogant! Should you not rather have mourned, so that he who has done this would have been removed from among you?For though absent in body, I am present in spirit; and as if present I have already pronounced judgment in the name of the Lord Jesus on the man who has done such a thing. When you are assembled, and my spirit is present with the power of our Lord Jesus, you are to hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.
Your boasting is not a good thing. Do you not know that a little yeast leavens the whole batch of dough? Clean out the old yeast so that you may be a new batch, as you really are unleavened. For our paschal lamb, Christ, has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us celebrate the festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
 Sexual Immorality Must Be Judged
I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral persons— 10 not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since you would then need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging those outside? Is it not those who are inside that you are to judge? 13 God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.”

If nothing else this Synod should open the eyes of blind Catholics who stumble around in the dark clueless about the battle that is REALLY going on inside the Church.  Wake up Catholics!  Your eternal destination may well depend on your alertness.

When (not ‘if’) the liberal progressive devils in the Church are defeated the media will wail and scream, while devout Catholics praise God for His defeat of yet another attack on Christ’s Church.  She is more than two thousand years old and this Synod will not stop Her or bring Her down.  It can’t.

There will always be trials and tribulations for the righteous - it's what makes such great Saints.

"Hold your eyes on God and leave the doing to him.
That is all the doing you have to worry about."
-Saint Jeanne de Chantal

Catholic Survey says: Catholics want to be Protestant!

Another Catholic survey is in and the results are the same…Catholics want to be Protestant while keeping the title “Catholic”.  They want the Catholic Church to change her doctrines to catch up to these modern times. (PDF link below)

They want gay “marriage”…numerous divorces and “remarriages”…women priests…lots of birth control…nice priests who talk about love all the time and less talk about the need for confession and all the things Church doctrine has defined as sin- after all these are modern times and the Church must adapt!

The ignorance of such ideas by (one time) Catholics is so colossal I’m not sure where to start!

Both active and inactive Catholics (in Illinois) were asked assorted questions about being Catholic, the Catholic faith, parish life, Catholic doctrine and more.
The responses were no surprise…these “Catholics” know nothing of the Catholic Faith and don’t want to BE Catholic.  They are protesting dogmas and doctrines of the Catholic Faith, they don’t like the Mass, the music (it isn’t upbeat enough for them), they don’t like the homilies (they apparently don’t relate to real life) and they are seeking fellowship and community, not “a message of fear and guilt”.

These “Catholics” would have truly hated Jesus in His time on earth…oh you know, all that talk about sin, repenting and going to Hell if you didn’t repent.

Here is what some of them had to say about why they are “inactive” Catholics…

• “I do not approve of the churches [sic] stance on many issues. Abortion, gays, women as priests, and several others.”

Yes, and that is why you are a closet (I guess now out of the closet) Protestant.

• “My daughter came out to me as gay, and I went through a divorce after 28 years of marriage. The Church doesn't want either one of us.”

Completely untrue.  If both the divorced mother and the gay daughter are living CHASTE CELIBATE lives they are living what the Church teaches.

• “Being divorced they do not let you take communion. Treat you like an outsider. But they allowed priest [sic] that they knew were bad to stay in the church.”

Completely NOT true.  Divorced people CAN have Holy Communion- “remarried” people (without an annulment) cannot because they are in fact ADULTERERS.  If the first marriage is valid, the spouse cannot ‘marry’ another spouse.

• “The archaic idea that only men can lead a congregation and be in the clergy, the underlying message of guilt and fear and the lack of diversity and openness to gays.”

I'm pretty sure Jesus' hand picking all men for the priesthood can never be "archaic" and “underlying message of guilt and fear” eh?  Guess this person never read a word Jesus said in the Gospels!

• “We were both devout catholics [sic] who tried to have children with no luck. We decided to go with in-vitro fertilization and the result is 3 awesome boys through 2 pregnancies. The catholis [sic] church rails against that.”

Don’t you just love the “we are devout Catholics” who reject and thwart Catholic dogma?  How “devout” can you be if you are rejecting the Faith?

• “I do not feel that the Church respects or allows full participation of women. I also feel that the Church's stance on birth control to be wrong and not in step with modern medical science and the real world.”

Oh and here’s a goody…

• “I struggle with the way the Catholic Church has not adapted an ever changing world. I also feel sometimes people are looked down upon instead of being lifted up by the church.”

Oh yeah, cause it’s all about YOU being “lifted up” by the Church rather than you going to WORSHIP GOD!

Here are some of the demands of these ex-Catholics that must be met for them to consider returning to the Catholic Church…(try not to laugh or cry)

• “allow civil marriage equality, approve birth control, consider ordaining women.”
• “Hierarchy start [sic] living like Christ.”
• “The church needs to stop focusing on fighting abortion, birth control, and gay marriage. I would suggest focusing on building our community and helping those in poverty”
• “Allowing priests to marry. Treating women as equals. Advocating birth control.”

And the Mass MUST be changed to suit them too!

• “Make EVERYTHING more upbeat, passionate and energetic. Make people look forward to coming to Mass because it energizes them and their faith.”
• “Jesus spent his days preaching to the people with stories and doing good works and most priests couldn't give a good homily to save their life. Even the gospel readings are done like a seventh grader reading to class and not like an important lesson from the book of God.”
• “Sunday night mass! I don't like to make the 20 minute drive to another city just to go to mass on Sunday nights, I would rather donate that money I spend on gas to my local church instead of going and giving very little.”
• “Yes, greatly reduce the performance and celebrate the Spirit's power through silence. Make the 90-minute human-led spectacle a 60-minute Spirit-led rejuvenation [sic]”

The next demand is to stop teaching them about sin!  They don’t want to hear it and they will go to Protestant churches so they don’t have to hear about sin and the need for confession.

• “if the catholic church [sic] began sending a message of honesty, truthfulness and a message that we are all simply human and are trying to navigate this life with out [sic] the impeding guilt and better than though i [sic] would consider returning.”
• “quit threatening us and tell us more about God loving and forgiving us. Stop being so pious when you're human like we are.”
• “yes, the Catholic Church needs to accept all people if they love God and love the Catholic Church as I do. I refuse to have an annulment which is basically saying my first marriage of 19 years which bore 2 children did not exist.”
• “only God will be our judge.. [sic] so how can we be critical of those that have alternative lifestyles.”

Now that they’ve demanded Dogmas, doctrines and the Mass be changed they have one more demand.  Change the priests;

• “only a kind, gentle, and loving priest”
• “priests that speak with passion and apply the knowledge to today's time.”
• “younger more enlightened priest that could relate the sermons to todays [sic] world.”
• “we need Priests, Deacons and Bishop that are willing to work love into the hearts of these parishioners.”

What saddened me even more was what was said by the ACTIVE Catholics still sitting in the pews, most especially the poll on their REASONS for attending Mass…

"Sense of Community" rated 358 while Receiving the Sacraments was only 60 and Religious Obligation ranked 32. Convenient Mass times trumps the Sacraments?  Even the "Active Catholics" are confused about why we SHOULD be attending Mass.

Encouraging comments from ACTIVE Catholics…

• “Our faith is an integral part of who we are. Attending church gives us strength in meeting the challenges of daily life. Because we have been members for a long time we also feel very connected to the families that attend the same mass we do as many of our children have "grown up" together. We've gotten to know many of the families and individuals who attend the same mass we do and enjoy the "connectedness" we have with them.”
• “I believe in the Catholic Church and this is my parish, born and raised where I raised my family. This parish has supported me thru good times and bad, it is where Our Lord gives me comfort”
• “I was raised in the Catholic Church, I believe it is my duty to attend Sunday Mass.”
• “I love my Catholic faith, our parish family, and the opportunities available at XXXX to pray, study, celebrate Mass and other sacraments in a warm, inviting family atmosphere.”
• “I attend to serve Jesus and the people. I attend to be close to Jesus, and partake of the Eucharist. I go to honor God as he has commanded. I enjoy the people around me, I go to be inspired throughout the week.”

Worrying comments by ACTIVE Catholics…

• “Sometimes the music is drab, some people are not friendly, our school, which is over 50% non-Catholic [sic] is a drain on our finances”
• “We don't have anything for the elderly, such as a potluck, we don't have anything to give support to young mothers, to give parenting skills to young familes [sic]. We have nothing for young, single adults, or for college kids.”
• “Sometimes it feels like they are always asking for money and if you don't give, you are not welcomed at some events. Some people seem to be friendly toward you but don't include you in some events.”
• “like most church communities there seem to be a shortage of youth, and a church community that is void of youth is a dying community”
• “We never seem to be caught up financially, it is stressful”

And here are the ACTIVE Catholics who want to see things like women priests, gay marriage and changes to Church teaching on birth control…

• “I don't understand why the Church is opposed to birth control that prevents conception - I think birth control is immeasurably better than abortion. I think priests should be allowed to marry and that women should have a larger voice. (I am a 60+ year old man).”
• “I think that the Catholic church [sic] should be more tolerant of people with different sexual orientation. I believe that this is genetically determined, and therefore determined by God. I also do not agree with the church's stance on birth control.”
• “I would not have a problem seeing women have the option of becoming priests. Also, it would not bother me if priests could marry. Lastly, I think people should attend mass because they really want to be there and not attend because they are afraid of committing a mortal sin.”
• “I feel that we get bogged down in legislation and that maybe our efforts need to go to education more. Abortion will never go away, but we can educate our young people as to what it is. We seem to be in the dark ages still. Women deserve leadership roles. We judge instead of accept people. Condemning gays does not feel loving. The whole pedophile thing is disgraceful. Acting like it never happens is not a solution. I'm glad our Pope sees this.”
• “Confession - since we have had so many questionable priest [sic], I don't trust any of them anymore to confess to.”
• “Beliefs against gays. Politics shouldn't mix with religion. Always demanding money.”

Oh the irony in this one…

• “I have a difficult time with the church's stance a [sic] some social issues, ie contraception and sexuality. I also feel that the church gets away from teaching about faith and what it means to be catholic.”

A bright light in the dimness…

• “More education on what the Church believes and why we are passionate about these issues. ‘Why we do what we do’ seems to be a big question for most people. Adult education is important, because at a lot of parishes people did not get an adequate education as children/teens.”
• “As a Traditional Catholic I don't like seeing the True Faith being undermined by a much more liberal Church of Nice crowd.”

So what are the concluding thoughts from this survey?  Don’t judge. *sigh*

Quote: "This study suggests Church doctrine plays a key role in individuals separating from the Catholic Church and it may be difficult to prevent current parishioners from leaving or to bring lapsed or drifting parishioners back to this faith community.
However, in the recent words of Pope Francis, “no one is saved alone, as an isolated individual, but God attracts us looking at the complex web of relationships that take place in the human community. God enters into this dynamic, this participation in the web of human relationships” (Spadaro 2013). Given our findings, parishes and pastors in the Diocese of Springfield may have opportunities to attract and retain those Catholics who currently consider themselves distanced or lapsed from their parish or Church through this web of human relationships. The continued pursuit of a welcoming, friendly, and judgment-free atmosphere in their church may create this human community that so many seek through group worship and therefore bring back those who have lapsed or drifted away."

This study SHOUTS OUT that people are IGNORANT of the teachings of the Faith and yet the Dioceses of Springfield, Ill concludes that the Church must be more “welcoming, friendly and judgement-free” to attract lost and new members.

Basically, they have learned nothing.

Sorry Jesus, we are just too busy for you

I know a family in my parish fairly well.   Our daughters are friends and went through First Holy Communion and Confirmation together.  The mother was a CCD teacher and her daughter was/is very involved in school activities and sports.  When the children were in CCD and Mass attendance was required (kids had to sign in to prove that they were at Mass) this family would show up late at the Saturday Vigil Mass still wearing their soccer uniforms, grass stained knee-pads and all.

I had at first thought “Well, at least they showed up.”

But after being invited to their house a few times, learned that they “took the summers off” from Mass because it wasn’t “required” and it really didn’t fit in with their very active life style.

They weren’t showing up for Jesus in the Eucharist.  They were showing up to be seen and signed in because the parish required it of children in CCD.

Years earlier, when my youngest daughter was preparing for First Holy Communion there was nearly a riot at the parents meeting over scheduling First Holy Communion.  The problem?  Sports.  There were assorted sports practices and games filling up the Saturday spring schedules and parents wouldn’t think of allowing their child to miss a sports event.  Some parents stomped out of the “required” parents meeting because they were going to be late for one of those sports events.  There were even raised voices and heated exchanges between the parents and the religious director.

As a new convert to the faith back then I was shocked. I also learned why the parish had to make everything a “requirement”- that’s the only way parents showed up for anything!

I wondered why these parents even bothered to enroll their children in CCD when sports were the priority for them.  Things got so bad that the First Holy Communion had to be divided up into different weekends to accommodate the different sports events going on.

I was incredibly saddened by the entire affair.

Today I read a story about parents in the UK who are whining about Mass times not being “family friendly” - so they stopped attending Mass completely.

Quote: A survey of baptised parents with children at Catholic primary schools, conducted for the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, found that a majority only attended Mass occasionally because they said the time of Sunday services were not family friendly and clashed with their busy lives, and that in some cases other members of the congregation did not appreciate having noisy children in attendance.

What time would be “family friendly” for Mass attendance?  Most parishes offer Saturday evening Vigil Masses along with several Sunday morning and noon Masses.  None of these times are “family friendly”?  How about daily Mass?  Those too “unfriendly” too?

When in the history of the Church have Catholics (before now) ever complained that Mass times were simply not “family friendly” for them so they decided to stop attending Mass?

I imagine when Jesus was arrested, tortured and nailed to a cross the timing wasn’t “family friendly” for him or the Virgin Mary either.  Does anyone think of that?

Do people even know what the First Commandment is anymore?  How selfish to put your “busy life” before God.

The issue here is people are ignorant of the Faith.  They simply do not know or don’t believe that the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ.

They’ve heard so many homilies on “social justice” for the past forty years no one knows anything else.  When priests stop preaching the Faith to the people they stopped TEACHING.  How can people pass on the Faith to their children if they don’t know it themselves because the homilies they hear constantly talk about social justice issues?

What about the Eucharist?  The Sacraments?  How many Catholic parents raising children can ADEQUATELY tell their children what the Sacraments are and why they are so important?

Not the parents in the article.

Quote: Findings from the survey showed for many Mass times appeared to be set to suit an older generation and respondents felt prevented from participating more fully because parish life “was run by, and for, an older generation who were regular Mass goers”. It also found that parents had a “limited faith vocabulary”, and in some cases mistakenly believed that before preparation for a sacrament it was necessary to have enough money for the celebration.
And…
Identifying parents’ hunger for on-going formation, the report said that the majority of Catholic parents gained knowledge about their faith from their children but wanted the Church to provide better catechesis – including around what do to during Mass.

People are STARVING to be fed the Faith and instead of being served the banquet our Lord wants us to have, the priests and Bishops are giving the laity crumbs, barely able to sustain them.

Things have got to change.  Priests MUST teach the Faith to their flocks because the Faith is being completely lost.

Unbelievable Mass Abuses

Today in my email box I received an email with a link to a Youtube video entitled "The Novus Ordo is not catholic"<--click the link to watch the video - the first few minutes is the narrator talking, after that it turns into videos of masses from around the world.

While I disagree with the title of the video, I figured I had a pretty good idea what the two and a half hour video would feature... mass abuse.

So I gave it a try.

I was right- but I was NOT prepared for what I saw.  These images can only begin to relay what is going on...the music...the words said... its a horror show.

This needs to STOP!

The Clown Mass- complete with fuzzy ball tassel stole.

 The Yoga Mass

The Hostage Mass (yes a woman is bound and gagged)

The Bobble Head Mass (complete with HUGE pita bread host)

The Circus Mass
This "procession" [next few images] is done to the Big Top Circus theme music
while a spinning carousal whips it's 3 riders around in circles.
The girl at the top is holding the Book of the Gospels.

See the swirling carousal riders wave to the laity

Woman holding the Book of the Gospels as she spins in circles

The Consecrated Red Guitar Mass
(Yes, that is a red electric guitar AND race flag on the altar during the Consecration)

Rock Star Priest SINGS a Rock Mass
(I am NOT kidding-watch the video)

The Flame Spewing Mass

The Sparkler Mass

The Hare Krishna Mass
(a Catholic Parish in Florida)

The Dancing With the Stars Mass

The Shot Glass Jesus Mass
(yes, they are drinking the Blood of Christ from shot glasses)

These are only a FEW of the abuses shown in the video, there are bouncing balloon priests, what I think is someone dressed as a giant piece of toast processing to the altar, lots of dancing and twirling, a man dancing and flinging incense in the air, a woman re-writing a reading to suit her liberal feminist 'you're not gonna hold us women down!' speech and several consecrated hosts that look like GIANT pancakes being ripped to shreds then fed to the people.

After watching with disgust the entire two and half hours of one mass abuse after another the only thing I could think about was Jesus clearing out the Temple with a whip.

Had *I* been at ANY of these "masses" I think I would have done my own Jesus impression of clearing out the Temple- only I wouldn't have been as easy on them as Jesus was.

This sickens me.  The ignorance not only of the laity- but the CLERGY!  There is no excuse and while many will not like hearing me say this, I am saying it anyway.  I believe there will be a special place in Hell for the clergy who mock our Lord in this way and take the holiness of the Mass away from the faithful.  How could you?  Do you not KNOW who you disrespect?  I pray for your rotten souls, because they truly must be rotten to treat my Lord so shabbily when he's been tortured, beaten and died for YOU.  This is how you repay Him? You should be on your knees begging His forgiveness for what you've done and those you've led astray! SHAME ON YOU!

May God have mercy on them.

One last thing...in Pope Francis Exhortation, he mentioned getting rid of some "customs" [#43] - can we hope that the "customs" seen here will be the first to go?

43. “In her ongoing discernment, the Church can also come to see that certain customs not directly connected to the heart of the Gospel, even some which have deep historical roots, are no longer properly understood and appreciated. Some of these customs may be beautiful, but they no longer serve as means of communicating the Gospel. We should not be afraid to re-examine them. At the same time, the Church has rules or precepts which may have been quite effective in their time, but no longer have the same usefulness for directing and shaping people’s lives. Saint Thomas Aquinas pointed out that the precepts which Christ and the apostles gave to the people of God “are very few”.[47] Citing Saint Augustine, he noted that the precepts subsequently enjoined by the Church should be insisted upon with moderation “so as not to burden the lives of the faithful” and make our religion a form of servitude, whereas “God’s mercy has willed that we should be free”.[48] This warning, issued many centuries ago, is most timely today. It ought to be one of the criteria to be taken into account in considering a the reform of the Church and her preaching which would enable it to reach everyone.

What's this business about the Vatican polling Catholics?

Recently the "National *cough* Catholic Reporter" released a story stating that the Vatican was going to poll Catholics:
"It asks the conferences to quiz their populations on topics that sometimes have sharply divided the U.S. church, like the Catholic teaching prohibiting the use of artificial contraception, the possibility of a divorced Catholic to remarry or receive Communion, and the number of young people choosing to live together before marrying."
The ever liberal and dissident Reporter seems to think this "poll" is to CHANGE the Church's teachings on the things mentioned above (when will they learn Christ's Holy Catholic Church is NOT a democracy?).  But that is NOT the case.  The "poll" is find out where all the uneducated Catholics are and to figure out how better to educate them.

Catholics who either are uneducated in their faith by no fault of their own or Catholics who are closet protestants and dream of changing the Catholic faith because they have been beaten with a stupid stick called liberalism so much they actually believe the Church is a democracy to be changed with secularism are being asked questions about issues that never seem to die down even after the Church has spelled it out.  The liberal Catholics are thrilled to hear they are being "polled" because they are so uneducated they actually think the Church is going to change it's teachings FOR THEM! The poor pitiful fools are in for a very big surprise.

At any rate, here is part of the document and the questions being asked with my personal thoughts and comments.

I am not sure where in the world the Vatican calls things like "mixed marriages" and "single-parent family" are NEW, but that is what it says. (Even Saint Paul in the bible talks about mixed marriages- 1 Cor.7)

Now here are the questions to be asked...

NOTE:  Here is the part to the uneducated Catholics who continually show their ignorance of the Faith when they cluelessly call for female clergy, the "right" to abortion and birth control and gay marriage.

These people should REALLY read about the Reformation and then look in the mirror to see the protestants they really are.  They have two real choices, either repent and ACCEPT Church Authority or continue to reject it and embrace Protestantism- that's what they are.

NOTE: Again, a question to uneducated liberal Catholics who tragically think they can reject natural law and tell God what is and is not sin (ie: abortion, gay marriage, birth control etc).

I have a feeling the liberals who are celebrating this "poll" with the idea they are VOTING on changing the Faith are going to be crying their eyes out a year from now.

Oh dear... now here is the problem.  Uneducated Catholics and dissident Catholics are passing on THEIR VERSION of the Faith, thus corrupting the next generations.  Parishes MUST find LOYAL EDUCATED CATHOLICS to teach.

Oh yes, there are "ministries" that exist that all too often promote the WRONG teachings of the Faith.  For example "The Catholic Association for Lesbian and Gay Ministries" (with the late Bishop Joseph Sullivan supporting the gay and liberal agenda) and "The Church of St. Francis Xavier" and their gay and lesbian group "ministry"- complete with gay and lesbian retreats.  Are the active gays and lesbians in these parishes told they are in MORTAL SIN and MUST repent of gay sexual relationships?  Are they told there can NEVER EVER EVER be gay "marriage"?  Are they told God considers gay relationships ABOMINATIONS?  Is the TRUTH told to gays and lesbians in our parishes?

It MUST be told to them- their very salvation depends upon it.  Sin must be called sin.  Priests MUST tell their flock what sin is and WHY they must repent of it.  ALL sex outside of one man + one woman marriages is a sin- heterosexual or homosexual. Why is this TRUTH so often silenced in the Church today?  Hopefully these problems will be addressed once this "POLL" reveals the failings in the Church today.

Again, the TRUTH.  Tell people the TRUTH about sin.  If priests refuse to educate their flock they are COMPLETE FAILURES.  Their mission is to save souls- you can't do that without tell the TRUTH, the FULL Gospel TRUTH to people so they can repent, turn from sin and live for Christ.  Bishops need to stop worrying about immigration and start focusing on saving souls.  In the end, that is what matters.

Well when it comes to gay/lesbian parents we've seen them enroll (or try to enroll) their children in Catholic parish schools and then get insulted and scream "hate speech" when the Catholic school teachings the Catholic view on the SIN of homosexual unions.  Do gay/lesbian couples WANT their children to hear the OFFICIAL Catholic view on homosexuals? If not, why put them in Catholic parish schools or even enroll them as members of the Catholic Church for First Holy Communion and Confirmation?  Do these couples wish to CORRECTLY teach their children what the Church teaches or do they wish to change the Church for their personal views?

While some in the Church feel the children of gay/lesbian couples should always be allowed in Catholic schools this is a problem that parishes must address.  How can the Church teach the children of homosexual couples that homosexual couples are in MORTAL sin and can NOT have the Sacraments when the homosexual couple are teaching their children the OPPOSITE?

This is HERESY.  HOW can the Church allow heresy in it's parishes?  This must be addressed- again apparently.

Humanae-who?  Say Humanae vitae and you will probably get a blank stare back.

Is this teaching accepted? I would LOVE to see parishes across the United States ask this question of its members after first explain exactly WHAT Humanae vitae is.

My personal recommendation to the Vatican on this:
Have ALL members of the Catholic Church READ Humanae Vitae and SIGN THEIR NAMES to the bottom proclaiming they ACCEPT and BELIEVE it.

My guess is you'd see Catholics breaking out in hives and running for the exits.

Good questions and I look forward to seeing the answers AND to seeing how Catholics in the United States respond to the outcome.  My own opinion is that uneducated Catholics are teaching falsehoods to their children and jeopardizing their salvation. This is a critical issue in my opinion.

In Christ,

Julie @ Connecticut Catholic Corner
