Protest at Planned Parenthood in New Haven, CT

Protest at New Haven Planned Parenthood Facility on August 22 warns: “PP Sells Baby Parts”

New Haven, CT — In light of recent revelations that Planned Parenthood has been harvesting and selling aborted baby parts, concerned citizens of New Haven are calling for a protest at the Planned Parenthood facility at 345 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT on August 22 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This effort is part of a National Day of Protest taking place at Planned Parenthood offices and abortion facilities all across the United States (http://www.protestpp.com) to raise awareness about Planned Parenthood’s trafficking of aborted baby parts.

Undercover videos (see links below) released by the Center for Medical Progress reveal that Planned Parenthood abortion clinics, with the sanction of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, are involved in the harvesting of body parts of unborn children aborted in their facilities and profiting from their sale contrary to federal laws prohibiting such practices. The videos show high-level Planned Parenthood executives haggling over the prices of fetal specimens. The videos also raise ethical questions about the exploitation of unborn children for financial gain and risks to women’s health if abortion procedures are altered solely to procure more profitable specimens.

As a consequence of this public scandal, several states have initiated investigations of Planned Parenthood and legislation has been introduced in Congress to defund the abortion giant. Planned Parenthood currently receives over $500 million in taxpayer funding annually.

WHO: concerned citizens of New Haven
WHAT: Protest calling attention to PP’s baby parts trafficking
WHERE: Planned Parenthood, 345 Whitney Avenue, New Haven, CT
WHEN: August 22, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to11:00 a.m.

The ProtestPP.com coalition is headed by Citizens for a Pro-Life Society, Created Equal, 40 Days for Life and the Pro-Life Action League, and is co-sponsored by fifty state and national pro-life organizations.

Local spokesman Timothy O’Rourke Jr. said:

“All politics is local. We cannot only look to Washington, DC and our state governments to solve this problem. Planned Parenthood is located in large and small communities all across America. Each community with a Planned Parenthood abortion clinic or satellite office needs to take action against the killing of babies and the trafficking of their body parts. Concerned local citizens from New Haven will be sending the message that it’s well past time for Planned Parenthood to be closed in New Haven!”

Email from a reader...

I received the following in email and was kindly asked to share on my blog.

Email Subject title: Do not allow what you know to be evil to be spoken of by others as good.
Specifically—Rosa DeLauro’s voting record. She occasionally refers to herself as a “committed Catholic” yet earlier this month she voted against a bill that would ban the use of our tax dollars to fund abortions. It passed the House anyway.

https://www.govtrack.us/congress/votes/113-2014/h30?utm
If not for the fact that Catholics in CT’s 3rd congressional district continue to vote for her overwhelmingly, DeLauro would have been retired long ago.
Please let your readers know about this site: http://rosadelauroexposed.wordpress.com/
And, if they use Facebook, to “like us” also on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/RosaDeLauroCronyism . If you are leery of clicking links sent via email (understandable!), just Google “Rosa DeLauro Exposed”.

Rosa DeLauro continues to create scandal by making it seem that one can claim to be “Catholic” while consistently voting against the teachings of the Church.

Thank you "Catholic in New Haven" for sharing this information!!

God bless you!

Orthodox Christianity has been Russia’s pre-eminent religion for more than a millennium and is integral to the nation’s history and culture. Yale University history professor Dr. Paul Bushkovitch will discuss the origin and foundation of Russian Orthodoxy, which has endured attacks and repression throughout the past, most notably during the preceding century. Dr. Bushkovitch earned degrees from Harvard and Columbia Universities and has studied in Russia. He has been a member of the Yale faculty since 1975 and has published and lectured extensively on Russian history.

The Knights of Columbus Museum's exhibition of Russian icons, Windows into Heaven, runs through April 27, 2014. The museum is open daily 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

***On a personal note, I LOVE visiting the Knights of Columbus Museum year round - it is never disappointing.  I highly recommend it, makes for a great FREE day trip for families (admission and parking are free!).

Pope John Paul II collection I saw a few years ago.
