Another google-eyed Catholic ignoramus caught by the spell of Pope Francis' deadly words

Who am I to judge? Strikes again.

Has a pope uttered a more damaging question in all the history of the Church?

Perhaps.  But not in my lifetime.

Fr. Ronald Victor, no stranger to controversy in the Catholic Church (here and here) has jumped on the Pope Francis bandwagon using "who am I to judge?" as the means to give Holy Communion to gay "married" couples in his parish.  He's also offered to privately bless gay unions/"marriages" if gay couples wish it.

Last summer, Fr. Victor's gay nephew was "married" by a protestant minister (much to Fr. Victor's dismay and anger over not being able to officiate the "marriage" himself inside a Catholic parish).

In the Christmas issue of the Naples Daily News newspaper, Fr. Victor's gay nephew and his gay "spouse" were featured in a ridiculous article entitled "How a married gay Catholic Couple live their faith".

In case I need to point out the obvious here, they are NOT "living their faith" at all because the Catholic Faith calls homosexuals to CHASTITY and refuses gay couples the Sacrament of Marriage because there is no such thing as a gay "marriage".  It simply does NOT exist in the Catholic faith.

The ridiculous article gets more ridiculous with the heretical priest boldly proclaiming his heretical beliefs about gay marriage and giving Holy Communion to "married" gay couples, afterwhich he then uses Pope Francis' own words as proof he's allowed to hold such heretical beliefs.

article quote: [Father] Ron Victor said he was moved by the wedding ceremony, and at the same time, "a little angry and a little disappointed that we couldn't do it in a church where I could have officiated."
He said he believes many priests would be open to blessing same-sex unions, although "they can't be real public with that."
Ron Victor said he's comfortable being public with it now. Through his priesthood, he said he has tried to practice what Pope Francis so poignantly and pointedly captured with his famous observation about gay Catholics.
The priest said he doesn't know the transgressions or every sin of all who present themselves for Communion. "As long as they're seeking God, who am I to judge," said the priest, citing the pope's memorable expression.
With scandalizing priests like this leading people into Hell and away from God, I was not surprised at all by the position the family of the gay man took when they stated if the choice is faith vs family, they will choose family.

article quote: "The church calls gay sex "intrinsically disordered" because it cannot result in procreation. Yet Ron Victor said the caring, monogamous relationship between his nephew and Molina-Duarte "reflects God's love."
"While it's not necessarily life-giving in a biological way," said the priest, "it's life-giving in other ways."
Other members of the couple's families agree.
Lennie Victor, Bryan's father and Ron's sibling, said he's never heard his brother the priest "tell people how they should behave or what they should believe."
"If the church makes you choose between your family and your faith," said Lennie Victor, of him and his wife Maureen, "I guess we voted for family."

In other words "Man or God?" and they have chosen mere men over God Almighty in Heaven.  And they still have the cojones to call themselves Catholic.

Let's be clear here, they have just chosen eternal hell with their own free will and they seem quite pleased with it.

What an utter and complete failure Fr. Victor is.  His duty as a priest is to bring people to our Lord for eternal salvation, what Fr. Victor has helped in doing is lead people away from Jesus Christ and point them in the direction of eternal hell.

The ignorance is certainly not limited to the Victor family.  The gay "spouse" Molina-Duarte's mother, a CATHOLIC volunteer worker here in Connecticut has apparently been honored by the Archdiocese of Hartford, Connecticut.

The "best wedding" she's ever been to is a mortal sin ridden protestant heretical event?  Seriously?

The only thing I can say to that is she is yet another google-eyed Catholic ignoramus caught by the spell of Pope Francis' deadly words.

After all mortal sin is deadly.  And homosexual relationships are mortal sin according to Christ and His Holy Catholic Church, regardless of any off the cuff remarks a pope makes.

It gets worse.  When the Archdiocese was asked if Archbishop Vigneron could comment on two gay men getting "married" and a priest wishing to bless their union, "Detroit Archbishop Allen Vigneron said through a spokesman that he couldn't comment for this story without knowing more specifics about the men.

Really?

An Archbishop of Christ's Holy Catholic Church needs "more specifics" than "two gay men getting married" to make a comment?  He couldn't even grunt out a quote from the catechism on the subject?  His mind had a brain fart?  Does this happen often?  Or just when the subject of homosexuality comes up?

If that weren't all bad enough, the ripple effect continues.  On January 2, Naples Daily News paper printed this:
Timothy MacGeorge, Bonita Springs
Catholicism and LGBT
"Thank you for publishing the story "How a married gay Catholic couple live their faith" (on Christmas weekend, no less) and sharing it with a broader readership.
Many of us more intimately aware of the intersection between Catholicism and LGBT life already know that the church, like the world in which we live, is coming (albeit slowly) to recognize that the love between God's gay and lesbian children is neither better nor worse than the love between straight persons.
God's creation is more expansive and more inclusive than any one person can imagine.
When I was ordained a priest more than 25 years ago, gay and lesbian Catholics were still very much closeted and out of sight. Today, and with all due respect to seminary Professor Janet Smith (the theologian quoted in the article), I have every confidence that once the church and her leaders actually grapple directly with the incomplete theology underpinning the church's teaching on human sexuality, they will see that there is room within that theology to recognize that the love shared by gay and lesbian couples is just as sacred and divinely blessed as that of other couples." [end quote]

Where are the true and official teachings of the Church?  Where are the priests who will actually teach them to the sheep?  With false heretical shepherds surrounding the sheep on every side leading them to hell with false teachings WHO will bring them the truth?

The Gospel is not being preached to these people and no one in the Church seems to care.  Not even the current pope.

God have mercy on His people and send us true shepherds to guide and lead us to Christ and eternal salvation.  We've been led by demons for far too long.

Accepting the sins of the sinner

Over at the deceptively entitled “National Catholic Reporter” another garbage filled article has been posted about a Catholic *cough* parish that is likely “the gayest Catholic parish in the nation” because 80% of its parishioners are LGBT people.

Fr. Jack McClure takes the Nativity story of Mary and Joseph seeking shelter to give birth to Jesus and compares it with homosexuals and transvestites being “accepted” (you’ll see that word over and over again) by Catholic parishes with a “no questions asked” policy. In other words, the homosexual relationships are a don’t ask, don’t tell policy in this *Catholic* parish.

No need to repent.  No need to confess that mortal sin.  This parish and its priests either don’t believe homosexual acts are indeed sin so they don’t preach the need to repent and turn from that sin OR they wish to change Church teaching on the sin of homosexual acts thus having nothing to repent of.  Personally, from reading this nonsense I believe it’s a bit of both.

Quote:  “The Mass has an intimacy lasting less than a half hour, punctuated by McClure's homily. Coming two days after Christmas, he references the Nativity story and Mary and Joseph's search for shelter.
"Everyone needs shelter; everyone needs a protective environment," McClure notes, adding this is precisely what Most Holy Redeemer attempts to do -- provide shelter. He talks about the need to maintain an open and accepting parish."And just as our parish is an accepting parish," he adds, "each of us needs to be accepting people. But sometimes the most difficult thing about being accepting is accepting ourselves."His words, hardly idle, seem to have special application to those gathered for the liturgy. They listen intently. A few nod. Most Holy Redeemer Parish has earned a reputation locally -- and beyond -- for being a distinctly open and accepting parish. It actively welcomes everyone, no questions asked. The parish motto is "God's inclusive love proclaimed here." A banner hanging above two large doors that open up into the church is inscribed with these words. But this isn't what makes Most Holy Redeemer, or "MHR," as the locals call it, one of the nation's most distinctive parishes. The parish has the reputation of likely being the "gayest" Catholic parish in the nation. Eighty percent of its parishioners are LGBT people.” –end quote-

Notice how often this priest talks about “accepting” the sinners with their sins and not a peep about repenting or the warning that to die in mortal sin means eternal damnation?
Not a peep.  You'd think (hope and pray) that a priest would be most concerned with saving souls, but not this priest and not this parish.
Let's just be “accepting” and “welcoming”.
I’m sure the devil is accepting and welcoming of these sinners too.
While Jesus wants the sinner to repent and turn from sin, Satan wants the sinner to stay in his/her sin.
Christ's holy priests tell people to confess their sins and repent.  Satan's unholy priests tell the people they are welcome and accepted in their sin.
Now the article goes on, to of course end with the now infamous destructive words of our dear off the cuff, make a mess Pope Francis…
Quote:  “The Catholic institutional church standoff against LGBT people and their supporters and, in turn, their views toward Catholicism, held steady for a decade or more -- until July 29, 2013. That was the day Pope Francis, not yet four months into his pontificate, answered a reporter's question about gay priests in the Vatican, saying: "If a person is gay and seeks God and has goodwill, who am I to judge?"
Francis' words quickly defined his pontificate as one that would be less judgmental and more focused on the mercy of God. His humility and pastoral outreach stirred countless millions of Catholics, but landed perhaps most welcomingly among LGBT Catholics.” –end quote-

Ahh yes…and there it is again… the “who am I to judge?” get-out-of-jail for free card used by homosexuals and liberals the world over.  That card apparently works with Pope Francis, but I seriously doubt it will work with Almighty God on Judgement Day.

***An Addition:  Please read what Traditional Priest Fr. Peter Carota recently posted about Hell, who is there (oh you failing bad priests pay attention!), will be there and the sins that send you there all from our Holy Mother, the Virgin Mary.

Another "who am I to judge" casualty

By Connecticut Catholic Corner

The tsunami of confusion over Pope Francis’ "who am I to judge” comment has claimed yet another delusional victim.  A poorly catechized Catholic is contemplating leaving her parish (or perhaps her Catholic faith- she doesn't specify- more on that below) because of Pope Francis' statements. Before I get into that, let me give the back story.

Recently, Colin Collette -the gay parish music director at Holy Family Parish in Inverness, Il was fired when he became ‘engaged’ to his male partner. [The ‘engagement’ took place outside St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome last week while the two men were vacationing there.]  When the gay couple returned home and news of their ‘engagement’ was made public the Chicago Archdiocese said Collettte could no longer retain his position as music director.

The archdiocese is spot on.  Unfortunately, because of Pope Francis’ “who am I to judge” statement many Catholics today don’t agree with their priests and Bishops who make similar statements about similar situations around the world today.  We’ve seen this with other parish firings around the nation.

One such case is Janet Zajler, a parishioner at Holy Family who is now contemplating leaving the parish because the ‘engaged’ gay music director was fired and Janet is convinced that Pope Francis would fully support the ‘engaged’ gay man remaining as music director at the Catholic parish.   Zajler has publicly stated to local news media that the “Archdiocese is wrong”- because of course Janet Zajler a Holy Family parishioner is sure she knows better than the Catholic Church.

Zajler says the archdiocese is wrong. “I am aware of our current pope’s outspoken truths regarding the acceptance of every individual, and I am outraged that our local church diocese is going against what I believe our pope is preaching about.” Now Zajler says, with Collette’s firing, she’s uncertain about her family’s future in the parish.“I will be in thoughtful, prayerful repose,” she said. “I’m unsure of where my husband and myself and my children will go after this.”

Thanks Pope Francis, you’ve been a tremendous help teaching the Authentic Faith to the laity.  Janet Zajler is a direct product of your off the cuff teachings - and unfortunately there are probably tens of thousands more like her in the world who will pass on what they believe Catholicism is to their children based on your flippant comments, rather than what the Church actually teaches. Instead of sticking with the catechism which is clear teaching, these people instead cling to off the cuff remarks as Gospel truth.

This is the fallout when Catholic clergy do not speak CLEARLY on AUTHENTIC CATHOLIC TEACHING.  Souls are in jeopardy.

Catechism:
2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, 141 tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." 142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.
2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Is Pope Francis a bad example to Catholics?

Holy Thursday foot washing in the Catholic Church according to the “rules” – (that is the rubrics of Christ’s Holy Catholic Church) state that only the feet of MEN are to be washed.

For years people in the Church (clergy and laity) seem to be baffled by this concept and need to be reminded every year. (The Vatican says one thing and the United States Bishops say the opposite.)

The confusion was made worse when Pope Francis in 2013 did the very thing the Church had publicly been battling against for years.  He washed the feet of women... and non-Catholics.  He broke "the rules" of the Holy Catholic Church and left more people (clergy and laity) baffled as to what to believe and trust.

Do we have to trust and keep the Rubrics?
If the Pope breaks them can we all do the same?
What's the point of Rubrics if they don't need to be followed?

Here is an episode of Michael Voris’ The Vortex from March 2012 about the abuse in the Church when Catholic clergy ignore the rubrics of washing the feet of MEN ONLY on Holy Thursday…

Since Voris has made it clear he will NOT now or ever publicly ridicule a Pope we can only assume from his views clearly stated here in 2012 what he thinks of the current pope washing the feet of women and non-Catholics.

Youtube Video notes:Published on Mar 30, 2012As we prepare for the remembrance of Our Blessed Lord's Passion and Death, there could hardly be a more insulting way to begin this, than with a major liturgical abuse. But unfortunately, such an abuse has become extremely common.

As we all know, last year when Pope Francis “broke the rules”, chaos spread among the Church with everyone wondering just when (if at all) anyone has to listen to the rubrics of the Church.

This year, he’s done it again.

From Rome Reports:  “On Holy Thursday, Pope Francis washed the feet of 12 patients with special needs at the St. Mary of Providence Center, for the Don Gnocchi Foundation.  It's a center for the elderly and people with several disabilities located in the outskirts of Rome.  Their ages ranged from 16 to 86. Among them were four women and a Muslim.” –end quote-

So if a Pope has no regard for the rules of the Church why should anyone else?

What’s the point in making any rules if they don’t need to be followed?

What example is the Pope setting by publicly "breaking the rules"?

Are his actions telling the Catholic world that rules CAN be broken and you are still a "good" Catholic if you break them?

Can we all pick which 'rules' (rubrics or not) we want to break now?

Don’t like the rule “No birth control”?  Ignore it!

Don’t like the rule “Confess mortal sins before Holy Communion”?  Ignore it!

Don’t like the rule “Catholics cannot support gay marriage”?  Ignore it!

Don’t like the rule “Catholics cannot support or participate in abortion”?  Ignore it!

And the list goes on…anything you don’t like, just ignore it because that is what we’ve learned from our Pope.

After all, who are we to judge?

But the question remains... does anyone have to follow the Rubrics of the Catholic Church?

Are they rules or merely suggestions?

Perhaps the rules don't apply to the Pope only to everyone else?

Who will clarify this for us now?

Just who and what to do we listen to?

Do we believe, trust and listen to the Rubrics or the clergy who ignore them?

Can anyone answer that any more?

"Who am I to judge?" - YOU'RE POPE! Teach the faith!

“Who am I to judge?”  Pope asks.

Did someone ask you to judge Papa Francis or did they seek teaching
Photo: Google Images
answers?

Start calling me A Majorly Cranky Catholic because that’s what I have become since Pope Francis became our Pope.  He often frustrates me to no end, I am sad to admit.
To be clear, I respect the Seat of Peter, whoever happens to be sitting there is sitting there for one reason or another.  I accept that, but along with that acceptance comes expectations, aspirations and HOPE for a better tomorrow in our Church.

One of the worse things to ever happen is CHAOS and CONFUSION (especially in the Church), because they breed deceit, lies, corruption and a mass exodus.  This happened (whether everyone wants to admit it or not) after Vatican II.  I’m no theologian, but I’ve read and picked apart “Sacrosanctum Concilium” (Vatican II document on the Sacred Liturgy) and even I can see its “loopholes” that clergy used to toss out the old and bring in the “Let’s look like Protestants!” approach.

Chaos and confusion is the LAST thing the Church EVER needs yet time and time again since Pope Francis became our Papa we have seen a tremendous ripple effect of chaos and confusion starting with Holy Week and washing the feet of women- even more Muslim women.

Huge disappointment for this Catholic enjoys…no adores the richness and history of our Catholic traditions.

Another disappointment came this month when Pope Francis decided to contradict Pope Benedict XVI by issuing a decree (protocol number 52741/2012) that FORBIDS the Franciscan’s of the Immaculate from the Vetus Ordo (Traditional Mass).   The degree states…

"every religious of the congregation of the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate is required to celebrate the liturgy according to the ordinary rite and that, if the occasion should arise, the use of the extraordinary form (Vetus Ordo) must be explicitly authorized by the competent authorities, for every religious and/or community that makes the request.”

(Source: http://catholicnewslive.com/story/91782 and more:  http://chiesa.espresso.repubblica.it/articolo/154381?eng=y)

What's wrong with the Vetus Ordo that it has to be FORBIDDEN to anyone?  I don't understand it, and I really hope I never do.

Huge disappointment to this Catholic.

This year’s World Youth Day (by the way, why call it “day” when it’s a week? - just wondering) was yet another situation were chaos and confusion and (in my personal opinion) buffoonery took place (the dancing buffoons…err… clergy… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zo_1_WZ5DmA ) looked simply ridiculous to me.

(See video of WYD Papal Mass:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-iZAten9MI)

-Dancing, waving and swaying during the Procession and singing of the Gloria – what’s HOLY about that?  Have all these clergy forgotten the Mass IS HOLY?  Jesus Christ was tortured… TORTURED and died for us, the place for dancing and waving is NOT during Holy Mass.  Save that for a praise gathering or Catholic rock concert.  I get that it is world YOUTH day, but we don’t need to treat our Catholic youth like toddlers watching an episode of Barney the dancing silly dinosaur.

Huge disappointment to this Catholic.

To his credit (from what I saw), Pope Francis kept his head down and eyes closed during the Gloria either in reverence or because the spectacle was just too horrible to watch.

Even the trip home caused confusion when Pope Francis responded with “Who am I to judge?” when questioned about gay clergy.

Who are you Papa?  YOU’RE POPE!  You lead the HOLY Catholic Church!  You TEACH the Gospel Message- ALL of it, not just the nice parts!  I know you reject the Papal apartments, vehicles and some vestments, but you ARE the Pope- the leader of the Catholic Church on earth.

When someone asks ANY Catholic clergy a question- most especially the Pope- he SHOULD TEACH the faith at EVERY opportunity.  Clearly and precisely so as to cause NO confusion or chaos in the world.  Pope Francis’ reply “Who am I to judge?” has sent the world (rightly or wrongly) reeling with what they THINK he might have meant.  Had the Pope answered WITH CHURCH TEACHING, there would be no one trying to self interpret what he “might” have meant.

What about gay clergy?  What about ANY gay person?  For a Catholic the answer is the same.  Homosexual sexual acts are a MORTAL SIN.  No sex outside of marriage and no gay “marriages” ever.  It’s that simple.  No confusion.  No chaos.  Pure Catholic teaching.  Why couldn’t/wouldn't Pope Francis say that?  Pope Benedict did, and some didn’t like it, but many did.  We want a Pope who speaks CLEAR, PURE Catholic teaching.  Lead us clearly.  Teach us clearly.  Dispel confusion and end the chaos. We need you to be strong in our faith.

“Who am I to judge?” says Pope Francis missing yet another opportunity to CLEARLY teach the Catholic faith to the world.

Huge disappointment to this Catholic who is thirsty for MORE REVERENCE in our Church and SOUND SOLID teaching from ALL our clergy, all the time.  I don't want dancing, hand clapping or swaying clergy at our Masses, nor clergy who don't clearly preach the Catholic faith at every opportunity.  For the life of me, I can't image Saint Peter or Saint Paul doing what I too often see from our Catholic clergy today.  Just saying...

That's what makes me a cranky Catholic.

PS... something I hope Papa Francis hasn't forgotten is that we ARE to "judge" those inside the Church - that is if you believe Sacred Scripture.

1 Corinthians 5:12

New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)
12 "For what have I to do with judging those outside? Is it not those who are inside that you are to judge?"

Just saying...
