EWTN’s News Teams Will Be Live in Rome
For The
April Canonization of Two Popes
Irondale, AL – EWTN Global Catholic Network’s news teams
will be on the ground in Rome for the canonizations of Pope John Paul II and
Pope John XXIII. Coverage will be available around the world in English,
Spanish, and German and on all platforms. The highlight of Team EWTN’s coverage
will be the Canonization Mass celebrated by Pope Francis. The Mass is scheduled
to air live at 3:30 a.m. ET Sunday, April 27, with primetime encores of the
event that same evening at 7 p.m. ET Sunday night, and again at 11 p.m. ET,
Monday, April 28.

Highlights of our coverage will include
“World Over Live” Host Raymond Arroyo, who will anchor a one-hour “World Over
Live” special at 4 p.m. ET, April 25, as well as a special “Live From the
Vatican With Raymond Arroyo” at 6:30 p.m. ET, April 26.
“EWTN News Nightly” (ENN) Executive Producer Brian Patrick will not only
provide commentary as part of the canonization team, he will also anchor two
special episodes of ENN from Rome at 11 a.m. ET, April 25 and 26, as well as a
one-hour wrap-up of all of EWTN’s special coverage at 6 p.m. ET, Monday, April
28.
In addition, Rome Bureau Chief Joan Lewis, EWTN’s own “Vaticanista,” will
host a special episode of “Rome Dispatch” at 10 a.m. ET, April 26, which will
focus on the lives and works of the Church’s two new saints.
