Liberals go nuts on Twitter over Hobby Lobby ruling

Nothing like playing along on Twitter to the Left's hashtag #notmybossesbusiness

She never did answer me 'what other medical uses does the IUD or PlanB have but to abort an embryo'?

Asking that question propelled "TheMountainista" to wish me dead and then threaten to come find me and my "cult followers"- not sure who they are.

Where's all that love and tolerance the Left is whining about?  I never see them showing tolerance or love to ANYONE who has a different opinion then they do.

Anyone on Twitter today who was happy for Hobby Lobby's victory was attacked by liberals.

But the BEST tweets were to SCOTUSblog by liberals who THINK the blog and twitter account is maintained BY the Supreme Court judges themselves! I love how the folks at SCOTUSblog respond to the hateful attacks they received from the oh so tolerant and loving Left liberals...

**That last one is my favorite - 0:-)

And for the record, I don't know "TheMountainista" (or her 48 followers) and have never seen her before on Twitter (and hope never to again).

Prayers for the likes of hate-filled Lefties who love to threaten people. May they one day grow up into real human beings and may God have mercy on them.

BREAKING: EWTN Granted Relief in HHS Mandate Case

EWTN Granted Injunctive Relief
In HHS Mandate Case

Court of Appeals Acts Following
Supreme Court Hobby Lobby Decision

Irondale, AL – The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta has granted the EWTN Global Catholic Network an injunction preventing the government from enforcing the HHS contraceptive services mandate against the Network. The appeals court released its twenty-nine page order just hours after the U.S. Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case. The injunction allows EWTN to continue its court challenge of the mandate without incurring the fines of $35,000 per day that would have begun on July 1.
“This has been a very good day for religious liberty in America,” said EWTN Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw. “The Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case was a great affirmation of the constitutional right to freedom of religious expression. While the Hobby Lobby decision did not directly resolve EWTN’s case, this afternoon’s injunction from the appellate court allows us to press forward without facing the government’s crushing fines.
“As we have said repeatedly, contraception, abortion-inducing drugs and voluntary sterilization are not health care and the government should not force EWTN to provide them as part of our employer-sponsored health plan.
“The Hobby Lobby decision recognizes that business owners don’t give up their religious freedom when they start a business,” continued Warsaw. “The fact that the Supreme Court believes that the government has an obligation to use the least restrictive means of accomplishing its goals is very helpful to the EWTN case. EWTN has raised similar arguments with regard to the government’s ‘accommodation’ scheme for faith-based organizations. We are both relieved and encouraged by the action taken by the courts today and look forward to making our case before the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in the coming months.”
EWTN Global Catholic Network, in its 33rd year, is available in over 230 million television households in more than 140 countries and territories. With its direct broadcast satellite television and radio services, AM & FM radio networks, worldwide short-wave radio station, Internet website www.ewtn.com, electronic and print news services, and publishing arm, EWTN is the largest religious media network in the world.

BREAKING NEWS: EWTN on Hobby Lobby Case

EWTN Chairman & CEO Michael Warsaw Reacts To Hobby Lobby Decision

Irondale, AL – Statement of Michael P. Warsaw, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of EWTN Global Catholic Network on June 30, 2014 US Supreme Court Decision in the Hobby Lobby Case:

“EWTN is extremely pleased with today’s Supreme Court decision in the Hobby Lobby case.  The fact that the Court believes that the government has less restrictive means of accomplishing it’s goals is very helpful.  However, it remains unclear whether this decision addresses the serious objections that EWTN has raised with regard to the government’s “accommodation” scheme for nonprofit faith-based organizations. We are consulting with our legal team to determine how this significant decision applies to EWTN and our pending case before the courts.”

Scripture told with photos

By Connecticut Catholic Corner

Contemplating Saint Paul's words in Sacred Scripture with images…

2 Timothy 4
New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE)

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I solemnly urge you: proclaim the message;

be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable;

convince, rebuke, and encourage,

…with the utmost patience in teaching.

For the time is coming when people will not put up with sound doctrine,

but having itching ears, they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own desires,

and will turn away from listening to the truth…

and wander away to myths.

As for you, always be sober

...endure suffering,

do the work of an evangelist,

carry out your ministry fully.

When will the Vatican end Catholic parishes in gay pride parades?

by Connecticut Catholic Corner

***WARNING: GAY PRIDE PARADE IMAGES***

St. Joseph’s Parish in Seattle, Washington is again promoting and participating in the Seattle Gay Pride Parade.

From St. Joseph's Parish bulletin:
Save the Date: Sunday, June 29th
Join the LGBT Ministry as we participate in the Seattle Pride Parade.
You are invited to join St. Joseph’s LGBT Ministry in a ministry of presence. For three years, as a community ignited by the Eucharist to love and serve, we have been the Catholic presence at Seattle’s LGBT Pride Parade. It is a wonderful way to be a sign and presence of faith, hope, and love in the community. Please join us whether you are an ally, a parent or sibling of someone who identifies as LGBT, or are a member of the LGBT community, all are welcome. The larger the numbers the more the community will feel blessed by the love of Christ. Join us Sunday, June 22nd, after the 5:30PM Mass, for an informational session on where and when to meet for the Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29th.
If you have questions and can not attend the informational session please contact Meghan Mayo at meghan.m.mayo@gmail.com.

I am HIGHLY offended they claim the reason for marching in a "gay pride" parade is because they "as a community [have been] ignited by the Eucharist".  Jesus Christ, Body, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist does NOT 'ignite' people into heretical beliefs or to support perversion. I am revolted by such a statement about my Lord in the Eucharist.

Also in the parish bulletin:

Gay and Catholic?
The St. Joseph LGBT Ministry is seeking nominees to serve on its steering committee to help discern direction, set goals, and plan social and spiritual events. Through this ministry LGBT Catholics work together to build community among gay Catholics within the parish and beyond, to ensure all people find St. Joe's a welcoming place to nourish their souls. If you are interested in serving, or want to nominate someone, please contact Deacon Steve at 206-965-1646 or stevew@stjosephparish.org

A “place to nourish their souls” eh?

The ONLY way to “nourish your soul” when it is in sin is to REPENT of sin (in Confession) and avoid the things that lead you back into sin. Marching in 'gay pride' parades is NOT avoiding sin.

If your Catholic parish is advertising joining gay parades it is NOT NOURISHING YOUR SOUL!  It is leading you to HELL! Do not allow you or your family to be led into sin by your own Catholic priest or parish!!

There is no mention of Courage, the approved ‘welcoming place’ for LGBT Catholics on St. Joseph's parish website.  Why not?  Because Courage actually tells LGBT Catholics they must be celibate and live chaste lives.  This is NOT what St. Joseph’s parish in Seattle tells its members nor the entire community watching their actions as they pride-fully march in gay parades while their priest, Fr. John Whitney stands in the sidelines snapping photo after photo of the debauchery marching in front of him (more on that below).

Here are some Seattle gay pride parade photos FROM the St. Joseph's parish website for all the world to see:

What message exactly does that send to the world?  Does this parish send the message that LGBT people must be chaste and live celibate lives like the Church teaches?

Homosexual persons are called to chastity.  By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection (CCC 2359).

Do the parishioners in the St. Joseph's parish photos look like they believe what the Church teaches about homosexuality?  Is that the message you get from seeing these images on this CATHOLIC PARISH website?

What about the images NOT shown on the parish website?  What did the rest of the gay pride parade look like?  What did the parishioners witness, support and participate in?

*warning: offensive images below*

Here is what St. Joseph’s parish supports and participates in…tell me if you see authentic Catholic teaching in any of these Seattle Pride Parade images (pay close attention to who is in the last photo).

And here is Fr. Whitney at the 2013 Seattle Gay Pride Parade shouting and waving and snapping photos of the perversions we see in the above images.  Apparently Father likes what he sees and wants to keep the images to fondly look back on for years to come.  Why else take photos?
*I wonder what photos Fr. Whitney is taking for his personal photo albums?*

The local media (Seattlepi.com) took note of the heretical priest the year before for his defiance against the Church and wrote an article naming Fr. Whitney one of “Seattle’s most intriguing people of 2012”:

Fr. John Whitney, S.J.: The pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, on Capitol Hill, made national headlines in the fall campaign by suggesting that there's a higher authority than church hierarchy. After Archbishop J. Peter Sartain delivered a broadside against same-sex marriage, Whitney issued an "e-blast" saying that Sartain's words should be respectfully considered, but in light of the "call to conscience" and "authority never supplants conscience." Whitney, a Jesuit, led discussions about this at St. Joe's, and supported America's embattled nuns: Sartain leads a team of three bishops charged by the Vatican with making the sisters toe the line. A big "Support the Sisters" march was organized in a meeting room at the Capitol Hill church.

Fr. Whitney has time and again REFUSED to listen to Archbishop Sartain.

Why hasn't he been FORMALLY disciplined?

Why has he been allowed to continue to support perversion?

A priest who defies his Bishop, the Vatican and teaches heresy should NOT BE A PRIEST!

WHY hasn't he been removed??

What is the Vatican waiting for?

More heresies to be taught to the laity?

More souls to be lost?

A good Catholic (by that I mean one who isn't a heretic and actually believes all the Church teaches) has to ask…does anyone in the Church even know what SCANDAL means any more?

  • ScandalScandal is an attitude or behavior that leads another to do evil. If someone is deliberately lead into a grave offense, that person’s tempter commits a grave sin (CCC 2284 and 2285). Jesus said, "Whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea" (Matthew 18:6).

While the Archdiocese website (under the Courage/EnCourage LBGT page) clearly states...

“Courage is a spiritual support group for men and women who struggle with homosexual feelings. Members embrace the lasting freedom and joy – but also the cross – of chastity, in accordance with the Catholic Church’s teaching on sexuality.”
...it does not seem to enforce what it preaches. The Archdioceses says one thing, while its parishes do another.  Just who is in charge of protecting and promoting the Faith to the people?

So far Archbishop J. Peter Sartain has done nothing to end St. Joseph’s parish from supporting and marching in gay pride parades year after year.

Another example of complete and utter FAILURE by Catholic hierarchy. Come on, get your act together!  The Church has been around for more than two thousand years now and STILL we can't seem to get the Church to discipline one of Her priests!

Does anyone at the Vatican care that priests and Bishops and Archbishops are LEADING people to hell by their own actions or (and in the case of Archbishop Sartain) in-actions?

What has to happen for the Church to put an END to this?  What will it take?  People are going to HELL and it looks like most of the Catholic Church simply doesn’t give a damn (literally).

Where are the Godly men who are willing to FIGHT this evil?  Are there any left within the Church?

Does Pope Francis care?  If he does nothing he is either ignorant of the problem or does not care that souls are going to Hell under his watch.

He recently said “anyone in the mafia is excommunicated” – how about telling the clergy “any clergy supporting or participating in gay pride parades are heretics to the Faith and are stripped of their pastoral positions”?  And then removing them from parishes AND forbidding them to speak publicly about it as to STOP the scandal and damage these men are creating.

Enough is enough.  The Church needs to CLEAN HOUSE.

Pope Francis focuses on the money issues while souls are being lost.  Get your priorities straight Holy Father, people are losing their souls because of the damage Catholic clergy are inflicting on the world with their heretical teachings.

Remove ALL the heretical priests from the Church- everyone one of them from the top down.
We might have to be a very small Church, but at least we would be a Catholic Church teaching the PURE Catholic Faith to the people.

In Christ,

Julie @ Connecticut Catholic Corner

EWTN Press Release: CNA and ACI Prensa merge into EWTN

Catholic News Agency and
ACI Prensa Group Merge Into EWTN

Leading Catholic News Outlets Now
Part of the EWTN Global Catholic Network

Irondale, ALThe Denver-based Catholic News Agency (CNA) and its sister organization, ACI Prensa, the world’s largest Spanish-language Catholic news organization with headquarters in Lima, Peru have become part of the EWTN Global Catholic Network.

“EWTN has been a partner with both Catholic News Agency and ACI Prensa for many years in creating and distributing Catholic news content, and I am very pleased and excited that these two highly respected news organizations will become a part of the EWTN family of services,” said Michael P. Warsaw, the Network’s chairman of the board and chief executive officer.

“Since its founding a decade ago, CNA has proven itself to be a valuable source for reporting on important issues of the day that are of interest to Catholics and non-Catholics alike,” noted Warsaw. “For its part, ACI Prensa has been the world’s leading outlet for Spanish-language Catholic news and reporting. ACI Prensa will be a perfect fit alongside EWTN’s other services including our Spanish-language television, radio and web-based services.”

Under the terms of the transaction, no cash will be exchanged between the parties. EWTN will assume control of all ongoing activities of the two organizations.  Alejandro Bermudez, a member of the Sodality of Christian Life who is currently the executive director of both CNA and ACI Prensa Group will continue to serve in that capacity.

“Among other impressive accomplishments, EWTN is the world's largest distribution outlet for Catholic content. Given that CNA and the ACI Group have become one of the largest generators of Catholic news content in three languages, this union is a synergistic, natural step to take,” said Bermudez. “This is truly a 'match made in Heaven.'”

This move is the latest step in EWTN’s efforts to expand its news presence in the global Catholic digital and multimedia marketplace. In 2013, the Network launched EWTN News Nightly, a daily news program based in Washington, D.C. covering major news events from a Catholic perspective. In 2011, EWTN acquired The National Catholic Register, the leading Catholic newspaper in the United States. The Network also produces The World Over with Raymond Arroyo, the highly-acclaimed weekly news analysis and in-depth interview program. In addition, its radio and digital media services have also greatly expanded their news dimension in recent years.

EWTN Global Catholic Network provides multimedia services to more than 140 countries and territories. The Network transmits eleven separate television channels in several languages to more than 230 million homes around the world. It also operates multiple radio services including a network of hundreds of AM and FM stations, a SiriusXM satellite radio channel, an iHeart radio channel and a global shortwave radio service. EWTN’s main website, www.ewtn.com, is the most visited Catholic website in the US. Its diverse digital and social media platforms rank among the top Catholic outlets in the world.

Catholic News Agency was founded in Denver, Colorado in 2004 and has been one of the fastest growing Catholic news providers in the English speaking world. The organization maintains new bureaus and reporters around the world, including Washington, D.C. and Rome. CNA content is made available free of charge through its own website, www.catholicnewsagency.com, and through other websites and outlets including www.ewtnnews.com. CNA also provides an editor’s service to Catholic publications, dioceses and parishes.

ACI Prensa was founded in Lima, Peru in 1980 by the German missionary, Fr. Adalbert Marie Mohm. It was his desire to provide a steady flow of Catholic news to secular media outlets and end-users throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Today ACI Prensa is the largest and most visited web provider of Catholic news in Spanish through www.aciprensa.com and www.ewtnnoticias.com. The organization also operates a Portuguese language service in Brazil, ACI Digital, available at www.acidigital.com.

Party with a funeral corpse?

This is a new one to me...
Apparently these "homegoing" parties are becoming popular these days.  You prop up the corpse (in this video in a home like setting) with the things that were important to the deceased in their life.  Things like beer, cigarettes and disco balls.
Then you have a party around the corpse with dancing and drinking.  When the party is over, the corpse is finally buried.

All I got for this one is a one big... *SIGH*

In Christ & wanting a proper Catholic burial when my time comes,

Julie @ Connecticut Catholic Corner
