EWTN Press Release: St. Patrick's Day

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day:
Watch “Patrick’s Peak” on EWTN

22-mile pilgrimage to the mountain where the saint fasted for 40 days

IRONDALE, AL— Instead of going to the pub this St. Patrick’s Day, why not take a pilgrimage?

On March 17, EWTN will air “Patrick’s Peak: An Irish Pilgrimage”! Journey with Host Bob Dolan as he follows St. Patrick's footsteps in the “Tochar Padraig” walk, a pilgrimage on Ireland’s west coast from the 800-year old Ballintubber Abbey to Croagh Patrick (St Patrick’s Mountain) 22 miles away, where St Patrick fasted for 40 days.

Witness the majestic Irish landscape and learn some fascinating facts about Croagh Patrick from Irish natives. You will also have a chance to meet some interesting people along the way, including a Franciscan brother who has climbed the mountain countless times. Learn how a pilgrimage is more than just a long walk but a prayer, a sacrifice and an opportunity for us to use the scenery, the solitude, the peace and the quiet to reflect on where we are on our journey, to recommit to where we are going, and to grow closer to Christ.

“Patrick’s Peak: An Irish Pilgrimage” airs 1 p.m. ET, Tuesday, March 17.

  1. Does EWTN know ?

Dominus Iesus, Redemptoris Missio carry the Cardinal Francesco Marchetti Selvaggiani mistake

  2. Why does EWTN and the Vatican expect the SSPX to interpret Vatican Council II with an irrational premise to receive canonical status?
Why does EWTN use this same premise ?

SSPX show the Vatican the Marchetti error carried over into Redemptoris Missio, Dominus Iesus and other magisterial documents
