Southern Poverty Law Center & Catholic groups

This morning I was reminded by Church Militant about the Southern Poverty Law Center putting Catholic groups on their "hate list" (after the recent FBI leak).

In today's "Vortex" entitled "Long Time Coming", Mr. Voris spoke of the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton & Podesta after losing to Trump how the left came after Catholic groups:

Quote: "The government can't censor you, but those First Amendment protections only protect you from the government, not private corporations. So the canceling began in earnest. It was in this time frame that we, here at Church Militant, began drawing attention from national media outlets and were labeled extremists, alt-right, White nationalists, etc.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, a radical extremist hate group if there ever was one (but operated by the Left), put Church Militant on its hate group list. As a result, as well as the general anti-Catholic animus present in the dominant culture, our hosting providers and other digital services began canceling us. These attacks by the Marxists necessitated us creating our own digital ecosystem independent of Big Tech — and yes, that cost us a small fortune.

The combination of that designation as a hate group plus the canceling and the lying, fake news reports about us is what got us into that FBI dossier where we are discussed on Page 4. Even in the Church, lies and propaganda were launched against our work on behalf of the Faith by multiple leftist bishops and their cowardly cooperators in the Catholic establishment.

The leviathan of modernism and Marxism has and is taking dead aim at us here at Church Militant, which is why we are asking you to join us and make your support (for what we do here) known. We have launched our dollar-a-day campaign, asking you to help us stay the leading Catholic force in attacking all this."

I recalled many years ago Michael Matt doing a video telling everyone that The Remnant had made the SPLC's hate group list. I had never heard of the SPLC until Mr. Matt mentioned them and the list.

According to SPLC's website, they listed The Remnant as a "Radical Traditional Catholicism Hate Group" beginning in 2006.

Some of the other "Radical Traditional Catholicism Hate Groups" to make that list back in 2006 were Catholic Family News, and the Fatima Crusader.

I'm reading the SPLC website and shaking my head because while SPLC put groups like The Remnant and Catholic Family News and the Fatima Crusader in their "Radical Traditional Catholicism" hate group, the SPLC states:
"Radical traditionalists are not the same as Catholics who call themselves “traditionalists” — people who prefer the old Latin Mass to the mass now typically said in vernacular languages — although the radicals, as well, like their liturgy in Latin. They also embrace extremely conservative social ideals with respect to women."
These people are just hate-filled lunatics.

The criteria SPLC uses to declare anyone a "hate group" seems to be anyone who disagrees with them on any given subject.

What I didn't know was that Church Militant was not put on the SPLC "hate group" list for being a "Radical Traditional Catholicism Hate Group" like The Remnant, but rather CM got on the list in 2018 for being "Anti-LGBTQ".

No mention of "radical" Catholicism with CM at all in the years listed on SPLC. I was surprised by that-not that I think CM is "radical" (I don't think The Remnant and the others are radical either), but surprised that SPLC didn't seem to notice CM as a Catholic Media outlet defending the Faith. CM was going by the Catholic Church's teachings on homosexuality. They weren't giving an opinion, but rather quoting from the Catholic Catechism and Saints on the subject.

Mr. Voris had stated in his Vortex Show today that:

"It was in this time frame that we, here at Church Militant, began drawing attention from national media outlets and were labeled extremists, alt-right, White nationalists, etc."

I suppose Church Militant made SPLC list as "extremists" for simply believing and holding to the Catholic Faith on the single subject of homosexuality. They did not make the SPLC list for being "Radical Traditional Catholics" or for being "alt-right" or "white nationalists", but for being "Anti-LGBTQ" in 2018, years after the 2016 election. That said, there are likely other groups or media outlets that have listed CM as "alt-right" or "white nationalists". I'm only looking at SPLC specifically because of the FBI leak and because Mr. Voris mentioned them.

At this point I asked myself what did Church Militant do between 2016 & 2018 to get on SPLC's "Anti-LGBTQ Hate Groups" list?

Took less than 5 minutes to find  (certainly could be wrong) what I think...or I should say, WHO got Church Militant on SPLC's list.

Father James Martin.

Honestly, can anyone be surprised?

Back in 2017 Fr. James Martin published his book "Building a Bridge: How the Catholic Church and the LGBT Community Can Enter Into a Relationship of Respect, Compassion, and Sensitivity" which Church Militant tore into all over social media (See HERE).

The year 2018 was one news report after another about Fr. James Martin speaking at parishes around the United States. Catholic laity protested and Martin was disinvited from some events (see HERE). A war broke out on social media over actual Catholic teaching on homosexuality and what Martin was promoting.

Church Militant didn't let Martin get away with warping Catholic teaching on homosexuality, and they were loud about it (see HERE).

There are dozens upon dozens of Church Militant articles, reports and Vortex episodes on Fr. James Martin and other "homosexual approving" clergy. This is, in my opinion, the trigger that got the Southern Poverty Law Center to add Church Militant to their 2018 Anti-LGBTQ  hate group list.

Keep fighting the good fight Catholics, by getting on these asinine bogus lists for holding to Catholic teachings you're getting noticed by the other side. Could save souls. Keep up the good work.

In Christ,

Julie

Patheos blogger labels authentic Catholics as nihilists

Rebecca Bratten Weiss is, among other things, a writer on the Patheos website. Until this week, I had never heard of her so I had no preconceived ideas or impressions of her.

On January 8th of this year, I read an article on Church Militant that briefly mentioned her name. I honestly didn't pay much attention to her name, as the article its self was so disgusting in its content -Franciscan University of Steubenville had supported a pornographic book giving a detailed account of masturbation and the Virgin Mary (after public uproar FUS changed their tune). This post isn't really about any of that- its about Weiss labeling Catholics who actually hold to the Catholic faith as "nihilists".

Today in my email, I received a link to one of Weiss' Patheos articles "Here’s What You Need to Understand About Catholic Media Conflicts" so I read Weiss for the first time. Her thinking completely perplexes me as does her use of the word "nihilists".
Weiss: "I’d like to follow up by stating that sometimes it’s erroneous to frame a conflict as being between “two sides” at all. Sometimes the conflict is not so much a conflict as it is an attack by nihilists on diverse, well-meaning humans simply trying to do their best in the world."
According to Weiss, Catholics who hold to the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church which have been passed down over the centuries are "nihilists" and self proclaimed Catholics who wish to change teachings and who often reject and/or ignore teachings...these people are "diverse, well-meaning humans simply trying to do their best in the world". Boggles the mind. But it gets worse...Weiss' example of one of these poor well-meaning humans is none other than heretical priest Fr. James Martin.
Weiss writes: Father James Martin of New Ways Ministry is a Jesuit priest with a special vocation for reaching out to Catholic-affiliated LGBTQ persons who feel marginalized, excluded, or even victimized in the church. This is a ministry which is built upon the most central of the church’s teachings about LGBTQ persons: namely, that “They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided.”
Let's stop right there. Weiss labels Martin "of New Ways Ministry" seemingly unaware that the USCCB has CONDEMNED New Ways Ministry

Weiss: Father Martin is not a far-left Catholic, and has never advocated for a reversal of the magisterial teaching on the morality of homosexual acts, nor on gay marriage.
Hold the bus! Again, Weiss shows she has not done her homework. Spend any time reading Martin on social media and its clear. I have written about Martin's heretical beliefs HERE, HERE and HERE to name but a few times Martin has gone against Catholic teaching on homosexuality.

In "The LGBT Philosophies of James Martin and Patrick Hornbeck" Youtube video Martin says (*at the 26 mark)...

Martin states in the video he wants the Church to "reflect" on homosexual "love" because *he* has determined these relationships to be worthy of "reverence".

*Note to Fr. Martin, the Church has already reflected on homosexual "love" and found it to be DISORDERED.

Clearly Martin continues to show he and his views are in direct opposition to the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church.
Weiss: For this, he has sometimes been criticized by leftist Catholics for not going far enough. I’ve been in many conversations with feminist academics who are critical of what they perceive as his unwillingness to push back against the existing magisterial teachings. And right-leaning Catholics get upset with him for not reiterating more strenuously the “homosexual acts are bad” element of magisterial teaching (for which, honestly, I commend him: gay Catholics have heard those lines all too frequently).
Again, I don't think Weiss has done her homework on Martin. Martin has repeatedly openly supported gay "marriage" and unions on social media.

Fr.Martin promoting a lesbian couple fornicating for decades.

Here is Martin promoting a gay book that encourages gay "marriage"...

Most recently Martin promoted a blasphemous rosary on social media...

I could go on, but why bother? We've all seen it from Martin for years now. We know he's a heretical priest doing great damage to the bewildered lost sheep who can't see the wolf before them.

Weiss then turns her eyes to Church Militant and defends pornography being promoted at a Catholic University.
Weiss: Recently, the far-right media tabloid Church Militant published an execrable and dishonest smear piece about Dr. Stephen Lewis of Franciscan University, who dares to teach actual literature in his upper-level literature classes. Dr. Lewis is no radical leftist, and is in fact fairly conservative. He simply understands that part of the role of an education is to prepare adults to encounter a broad range of human experiences, and to be able to engage with artistic works even if they contain difficult or problematic material.
This is nothing out of the ordinary for conservative Catholic academics who actually have functioning mental apparatus. In my doctoral program at University of Dallas we read any number of “scandalous” works from antiquity to modernity – from bawdy Greek epigrams to Gilles Deleuze, Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia. We read feminist philosophy. We talked about the masturbation scene in Ulysses, and discussed the nature of language in Lolita. And Dallas is, largely, considered conservative. But it also happens to be a university, not a four-year Bible camp. At least when I was there, the dominant ethos was one of magnanimity, not fear, and we enjoyed academic freedom while also celebrating Catholic identity. I can not imagine a university of that caliber caving to the demands of the barely-literate tabloid media.
Once more, I question whether or not Weiss has done any homework at all on the subject of being Catholic and pornographic material.

From the Vatican website

5. Among the alarming developments of these years has been the widespread increase of pornography and wanton violence in the media. Books and magazines, recordings, the cinema, the theatre, television, videocassettes, advertising displays and even telecommunications frequently offer a representation of violent behaviour or of permissiveness in sexual activity that reaches the point of being openly pornographic and morally offensive.

6. As reflections of the dark side of a human nature marred by sin, pornography and the exaltation of violence are age-old realities of the human condition. In the past quarter century, however, they have taken on new dimensions and have become serious social problems. At a time of widespread and unfortunate confusion about moral norms, the communications media have made pornography and violence accessible to a vastly expanded audience, including young people and even children, and a problem which at one time was confined mainly to wealthy countries has now begun, via the communications media, to corrupt moral values in developing nations.

10. While no one can consider himself or herself immune to the corrupting effects of pornography and violence or safe from injury at the hands of those acting under their influence, the young and the immature are especially vulnerable and the most likely to be victimized. Pornography and sadistic violence debase sexuality, corrode human relationships, exploit individuals - especially women and young people, undermine marriage and family life, foster anti-social behaviour and weaken the moral fibre of society itself.

11. Thus, one of the clear effects of pornography is sin. Willing participation in the production or dissemination of these noxious products can only be judged a serious moral evil. Likewise, production and dissemination of these materials could not continue if there were not a market for them, so those who use such materials not only do moral harm to themselves but contribute to the continuation of a nefarious trade.

14. Even so called "soft core" pornography can have a progressively desensitizing effect, gradually rendering individuals morally numb and personally insensitive to the rights and dignity of others. Exposure to pornography can also be - like exposure to narcotics - habit-forming and can lead individuals to seek increasingly "hard core" and perverse material. The likelihood of anti-social behaviour can grow as this process continues.

15. Pornography can foster unhealthy preoccupations in fantasy and behaviour. It can interfere with personal moral growth and the development of healthy and mature relationships, especially in marriage and family life, where mutual trust and openness and personal moral integrity in thought and in action are so important.

16. Indeed, pornography can militate against the family character of true human sexual expression. The more sexual activity is considered as a continuing frenzied search for personal gratification rather than as an expression of enduring love in marriage, the more pornography can be considered as a factor contributing to the undermining of wholesome family life.

25. EDUCATORS. The chief collaborators with parents in the moral formation of young people must be educators. Schools and other educational programs should support and inculcate the social and ethical values that promote the unity and health of families and of society itself. Of particular value are programs in media education to develop in young people a critical attitude and properly formed skills of discernment in using television, radio and other media, so that they might know how to resist manipulation and how to avoid merely passive listening and viewing habits. It is also important that schools emphasize the need for respect for the human person, the value of family life and the importance of personal moral integrity.

29. THE CHURCH AND RELIGIOUS GROUPS. For the Church, the first responsibility is the constant, clear teaching of the faith and, therefore, of objective moral truth, including the truth about sexual morality. In an era of permissiveness and moral confusion, this requires that the Church be a prophetic voice and, often, a sign of contradiction. The so-called "ethic" of immediate personal gratification is fundamentally opposed to integral human growth and fulfillment. Education for family life and indeed for responsible life in society requires formation in chastity and self-discipline. By contrast, pornography and wanton violence can blind individuals to the divine image in the human person, can weaken marriage and family life and can do serious harm to individuals and to society itself. Wherever possible, the Church must join with other churches, denominations and religious groups in teaching and fostering this message. It must also make the best possible use of its own institutions and personnel to give education and formation concerning the media of social communications and their proper role in individual and social life. Special attention should be given to assisting parents in their efforts.  Thus, media education belongs in Catholic schools and other educational programs, in seminaries,8 in formation programs of religious and secular institutes, in the continuing formation of priests and in parish programs for youth and adults. Priests and Religious in pastoral and educational work should themselves be discrimating consumers of media who give good example in what they read and view.

Let's not forget the Catholic catechism on this either...
2354 Pornography consists in removing real or simulated sexual acts from the intimacy of the partners, in order to display them deliberately to third parties. It offends against chastity because it perverts the conjugal act, the intimate giving of spouses to each other. It does grave injury to the dignity of its participants (actors, vendors, the public), since each one becomes an object of base pleasure and illicit profit for others. It immerses all who are involved in the illusion of a fantasy world. It is a grave offense. Civil authorities should prevent the production and distribution of pornographic materials.
2396 Among the sins gravely contrary to chastity are masturbation, fornication, pornography, and homosexual practices.
Considering all of this, how in the world can Weiss label Catholics who HOLD to these teachings as "nihilists" while referring to Fr. James Martin as a "diverse, well-meaning human simply trying to do their best in the world"

Truly, boggles the mind.

I'll finish this with a quote by Saint John Bosco...

Father James Martin's new rosary-meditate on LBGTQ couples and Mother Earth

Nothing Fr. James Martin shares on social media surprises me anymore.

Here is Martin promoting social justice Rosary beads for "modern sorrows" telling Catholics to meditate on LBGTQ couples, immigration, Mother Earth and other social justice topics with NO mention of Jesus at all. I'm not kidding...this is what Father James Martin is now promoting on social media.

Description of the "Rosary of Modern Sorrows":
The Rosary of Modern Sorrows invites us into guided meditation on the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters in the U.S. and around the world. Click through the photos to read the specific social justice intentions for each decade.Made by Aline and Nziza: refugees from the Congo living in Charlotte, NC.

This is the man Francis has promoted to consultor to the Vatican's Secretariat for Communications.

God save us from these clergy!

I'm a Candidate to be a Jesuit . . . and I'm gay

**Warning there is a Youtube image of Jay sitting on the toilet at the bottom of this post- he records himself on the toilet in one of his Youtube videos.

For the love of all that's holy, we must be saved from men like this entering the seminaries.

Jay is a Fr. James Martin wannabe. He even retweets and quotes Fr. Martin frequently on social media. Two peas on pod.

Some facts about Jay. Jay has a "gay" teddy bear named "Barnsie" who he likes to keep in the back seat of his car "cause he likes it there". Jay likes to wear pink cause...of course, he's gay but he doesn't call pink 'pink', nope. Jay says gay Catholics call pink "purple" cause...I don't even remember at this point its all so insanely convoluted. I think he is trying (and failing) to be funny - of course considering all the other things Jay says and does he might be perfectly serious. Judge for yourselves.

Jay the Jesuit wannabe actually records himself on the toilet (more on that later), pants around his ankles and all. I am stumbling for words to write this am so baffled and appalled by this guy.

Let me start at the beginning with Jay's first video.

Here in his breakout Youtube video he opines that people are wrongly blaming homosexual clergy for abuse in the Church and that there is nothing wrong with being gay (doesn't acknowledge Church teaching that homosexuality is disordered).

He also states he must not be in the closet about his own sexuality because to not talk about being gay somehow takes away his freedom and would make him a terrible priest. He's really obsessed with being free.

Jay says he "can't be true to the Gospel" as a gay man if he's in the closet.

Seriously, he says that.

He continues on saying he can't even "serve the Church" if he's not "one hundred percent free" - which again for Jay means telling the world about his sexual preferences for males. Jay has wrapped his freedom up in his homosexuality. All of this is completely nuts!

He's a confused, mentally warped mess and I am sure the Jesuits will adore him.

Looking at the comments so far on his Youtube channel I'd say he's not getting the responses he might have hoped for.

I left a few comments of my own on his Youtube channel including several quotes on homosexuality. Like the catechism stating the homosexuality is a disorder.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God's will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord's Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

At the end of the video Jay proceeds to tell viewers we are not allowed to judge him... apparently he either doesn't know what Scripture says on the matter or perhaps its merely something else he rejects.
Sexual Immorality Must Be Judged9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral persons— 10 not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the greedy and robbers, or idolaters, since you would then need to go out of the world. 11 But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother or sister[c] who is sexually immoral or greedy, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or robber. Do not even eat with such a one. 12 For what have I to do with judging those outside? Is it not those who are inside that you are to judge? 13 God will judge those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.” [1 Corinthians 5 New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition]
I am interested to see if he will address any of the comments left.

Jay has other videos including a video called "A Day in My Big Gay Catholic Life part 1" that is just weird, absurd and appalling.

The first half of the video Jay records himself waking up, going into the bathroom (flushing toilet sounds) and then he attempts to say the "Our Father" but can't remember it because he hasn't had his coffee yet. He apologizes to Jesus, ditches his prayers and makes his way to the kitchen for his breakfast- which he records making and eating.

During Jay's breakfast with coffee he asks and answers riveting questions like

"Gay Lifestyle Question #1: How important is coffee to you? Is it a 'gay lifestyle' thing? It is a Catholic?"

His response is repulsive and bizarre... "coffee is the 8th sacrament" blah, blah, blah. He's trying to be funny, but he's just a sad joke.

Then he records himself sitting on the toilet and reading "The Jesuit Guide to Almost Everything" by Father James Martin.

One comment under this vulgar video...

The clip at 10.33 really just about sums you up. Vulgar and gauche. Do you really think an aspiring clergyman would be comfortable showing his bare thighs sat on the toilet, literally defecating? Mind you, you clearly don't do irony as the book you're reading is by Father Liberace no less, so toilet paper is indeed about all it's worth.
After the toilet scene Jay goes for a run them comes home and shows himself tossing his clothes on the floor as he gets naked and then showers - thankfully he doesn't record his shower-but does record drying off his lower torso.

I said it before and I have to say it again...its bizarre and appalling- and I am sure the Jesuits will love him.

God save His Church and us all from men like Jay.

Pope Francis Must Resign

Truly, I am stunned by the events of this weekend. The SCATHING letter by Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano about the corruption in the Church is simply stunning.
LifeSiteNews: "In an extraordinary 11-page written statement (see official English text below), Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, 77, claims that Pope Francis knew about strict canonical sanctions imposed on McCarrick by Pope Benedict XVI but chose to repeal them.
In his testimony, dated August 22, Archbishop Viganò, who served as apostolic nuncio in Washington D.C. from 2011-2016, states that in the late 2000s, Benedict had “imposed on Cardinal McCarrick sanctions similar to those now imposed on him by Pope Francis,” and that Viganò personally spoke with Francis about the gravity of McCarrick’s abuse soon after his election in 2013.
But he says that Francis “continued to cover him” and not only did he “not take into account the sanctions that Pope Benedict had imposed on him” but also made McCarrick “his trusted counselor” who helped him to appoint a number of bishops in the United States, including Cardinals Blase Cupich of Chicago and Joseph Tobin of Newark.
Archbishop Viganò also implicates Cardinals Sodano, Bertone and Parolin in the cover-up and insists various other cardinals and bishops were well aware, including Cardinal Donald Wuerl, McCarrick’s successor as Archbishop of Washington D.C.
“I myself brought up the subject with Cardinal Wuerl on several occasions, and I certainly didn’t need to go into detail because it was immediately clear to me that he was fully aware of it,” he writes. The Cardinal’s “recent statements that he knew nothing about it … are absolutely laughable. He lies shamelessly.”
“Cardinal Wuerl, well aware of the continuous abuses committed by Cardinal McCarrick and the sanctions imposed on him by Pope Benedict, transgressing the Pope’s order, also allowed him to reside at a seminary in Washington D.C. In doing so, he put other seminarians at risk,” he attests.[end quote]
Archbishop Vigano calls out all the wolves by name- Blase Cupich, Joseph W. Tobin, McCarrick, McElroy, Maradiaga and Wuerl to name just a few. From the very top beginning with Pope Francis himself, to the bottom with priests like Father James Martin.

Quote: "Father James Martin, S.J., acclaimed by the people mentioned above, in particular Cupich, Tobin, Farrell and McElroy, appointed Consultor of the Secretariat for Communications, well-known activist who promotes the LGBT agenda, chosen to corrupt the young people who will soon gather in Dublin for the World Meeting of Families, is nothing but a sad recent example of that deviated wing of the Society of Jesus."

Vigano goes even further calling on the pope to resign...
"Francis is abdicating the mandate which Christ gave to Peter to confirm the brethren. Indeed, by his action he has divided them, led them into error, and encouraged the wolves to continue to tear apart the sheep of Christ’s flock. In this extremely dramatic moment for the universal Church, he must acknowledge his mistakes and, in keeping with the proclaimed principle of zero tolerance, Pope Francis must be the first to set a good example for cardinals and bishops who covered up McCarrick’s abuses and resign along with all of them."

But boy oh boy, I didn't see this coming and I can't believe we are at a place where we need to call for the resignation of a pope. It's sad, but entirely necessary if we are to rid the Church of this corruption.

If the allegation are true, and they seem to be supported at this time, then Francis should indeed resign.

What then?

Michael Matt over at The Remnant thinks Pope Benedict should slip back into place.
Remnant Editor's Note: "This could well mark the beginning of the end of the disastrous pontificate of Pope Francis. The former apostolic nuncio to the United States has accused Francis of repealing sanctions imposed by Pope Benedict XVI on then-Cardinal McCarrick for sexual abuse. This is a charge most serious, perhaps without precedent in modern times.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò's 11-page statement, released to the National Catholic Register, accuses Pope Francis of covering for McCarrick, ignoring the sanctions that Pope Benedict had imposed on McCarrick, and also of making McCarrick a trusted counselor who became Francis's "kingmaker" when it came to American appointments and was highly instrumental in the Pope's decision to elevate far-Left bishops such as Blase Cupich of Chicago and Joseph Tobin of Newark to the College of Cardinals.
So serious is the cover-up that for the good of the Church and protection of the faithful, Archbishop Vigano has called on Pope Francis to resign. But before Francis resigns, we the Catholic faithful demand that he also remove from the College of Cardinals those who conspired even before the 2013 conclave to make Jorge Mario Bergoglio pope come hell or high water. He and the St. Gallen Group know exactly who they are.
Also, as this is an unprecedented moment in papal history, perhaps the unprecedented step of recalling Benedict XVI to the Chair of St. Peter should also be considered sooner rather than later, before this crisis gets any more out-of-control than it already is. May God save His Church MJM"
I would be stunned again if we saw this happen. Personally, I don't think Benedict would go along with this option, but you never know. He might feel responsible for this current Francis chaos and mess and wish to correct the disaster inflicted upon the laity when he, Benedict, abandoned the flock to the wolves.

Texas Bishop Bishop Joseph E. Strickland said he believes the allegations to be "creditable" and has called for a complete investigation into this matter. He also told all his priests to “include this notice in the masses on August 26, and post it on their websites and other social media immediately.”

Cardinal Raymond Burke has also spoken out: “The declarations made by a prelate of the authority of Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò must be totally taken to heart by those responsible in the Church,” said Burke. “Each declaration must be subject to investigation, according to the Church’s time-tried procedural law."
"After the truth of each declaration has been established, then the appropriate sanctions must be applied both for the healing of the horrible wounds inflicted upon the Church and her members, and for the reparation of the grave scandal caused,” says Cardinal Burke."

My personal thoughts on this... this is good for the Church. I think prayers are being answered right now. The Church is at a place where the evil inside the Church can be purged out.

I pray that Vigano is an example to other Bishops and clergy to speak out and not be afraid. The truth must come out and the rotten clergy removed.

God bless you Archbishop Vigano for your honesty and fearlessness!

In Christ,
