The new age of Pope Francis' church

I simply do not recognize this Catholic Church...

On the Feast day of the Immaculate Conception, Pope Francis kicked off his "Year of Mercy" with a "climate change" light show at the Vatican, which illuminated assorted animals (complete with animal sound effects) in St. Peter's Square.  

Nothing in this earthly display, displayed actual Catholicism.  And it was (in my opinion) an insult to Mary, because this display took over the Feast of the Immaculate Conception.  A time when we should have been celebrating the wonder of God in His creation of Mary without sin, we were instead subjected to Francis' obsession with saving the earth from climate change.

I think, we are soon getting to the point where the things this pope says or does no longer shock or surprise us. Myself, when I saw this, I just took a deep breath and shrugged, this is typical Francis.  

Others may swoon over Francis, scream and wave at him like he's a rock star- myself, he makes me weep for a real Catholic pope who is holy and focused on saving souls, not the planet.  

A pope truly who believes souls are more important to God than fluctuating temperature changes on earth.  A pope who leads the people in the faith given to us by God.  A pope who actually wants to convert people to the Catholic faith so they too can share in the Sacraments. Imagine that!

Dear God in Heaven, please give us a holy pope who wants to save souls for Your glory! 

The Church's mission, given to Her by Jesus Christ was to save souls through the Sacraments and teachings of Christ's Holy Catholic Church, by converting people and helping them live their Catholic faith daily until their natural death.  That is the Church Christ founded on earth.

Pope Francis' church has decided its mission is to save the earth from climate change and to protect endangered animals.  It's nearly all we've heard from this pope.  His "Year of Mercy" (which I stupidly assumed was about God's mercy to us sinful humans through His Church and Her Sacraments) is apparently more about mercy to the planet and animals. That is the message I got out of this "illuminating" display of new age symbolism and animal calls. 

While human souls are going to hell because Catholic priests won't tell them what sin is or that they need to repent of their sins, Francis is telling the world we must end climate change (as if!) and save animals.  

The Church has lost its way and needs a true, devout, Godly pope to lead Her once more.  Pope Francis is not such a man.

Virgin Mary in a condom art

Once more "art" has become a blasphemous act, insulting and upsetting Catholics and other Christians when a young "artist" decided to place a statue of Mary, the Holy Virgin Mother of God inside a condom.

"Virgin in a Condom formed part of an exhibition of Young British Artists, the "brat pack" of rising talent championed by advertising magnate Charles Saatchi, and whose most famous member was Damien Hirst.
Artist Tania Kovat used her rubber-sheathed Madonna to air concerns about the Catholic Church's treatment of sexuality, contraception and abortion, Te Papa chief executive Cheryll Sotheran said at the time."

What is wrong with people?  How can someone see "art" in placing a condom on ANY religious figure?  This reminds me of the sick "art" of placing a crucifix in a jar of urine.  Or the "artist" who rubbed his naked body against a crucifix and called it "art".

These people are sick.

It is indeed a desecration to the Holy Mother of God Incarnate.

Cheers to the Catholics who refused to be silent and for those demanding Pope Francis actually do something to the Bishops who once more failed to teach traditional Catholicism:

"The next week 80 Catholics sang hymns and prayed while thrash metal band Sadius Fiend drowned them out, with Te Papa's approval. A group of men dressed as nuns, calling themselves the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, handed out condoms.
The two groups were separated by barricades but a Catholic threw three punches unsuccessfully at the other side.
More arrests ensued, including a singer for obscene language, and a man who spat at a female Catholic protester and made "satanic hand gestures".
Politicians waded in on the debate, with National MP John Banks calling for solicitor-general John McGrath to prosecute Te Papa under a blasphemy section of the Crimes Act. McGrath refused.
Protest group Catholic Action spent $30,000 on full-page newspaper advertisements demanding the Pope sack New Zealand's 10 bishops for not pushing traditional Catholic teachings. A league of Catholic groups gathered 33,000 signatures by April demanding the show be canned, and Catholic organisations wrote to Cultural Affairs Minister Simon Upton, calling for Te Papa senior staff to be fired."

If the Pope has done or said anything about this, I have yet to hear about it or see it in the media.

Can you imagine what would have happened if this young "artist" had done the same thing against Islam?  I am guessing that "art" would NEVER have been allowed, but since its Catholic bashing, its open season.

Shame on them and God have mercy on them- they're gonna need it.

The Long Suffering Stormtrooper Crucifix?

I really get disturbed by the sheer ignorance of people who think nothing they do can or will offend God.

I had a non-denominational Protestant tell me once that she was forgiven all her sins and never needed to repent of any sins because Christ already died on the cross for her past, present and future sins.

It was a "done deal" once she "accepted Jesus into her heart"- and of course said the "sinner's prayer".

I was reminded of her today, when I read a story about an "artist" who created the "Long Suffering Stormtrooper" crucifix.  The "Long Suffering Stormtrooper" is from the Star Wars movies.  The fictional soldier AKA a 'stormtrooper' has replaced Jesus Christ on a crucifix- this is "art" according to Mr. Callanan (the artist) and The Picture Frame Gallery where this "art" is displayed.

The avid Star Wars fan said that he isn’t offended by Mrs Jenkin’s criticism. “If it was [Star Wars film-maker] George Lucas having a go at me I would be more upset,” he said.
Gallery owner Mark Belda, who says he was raised as a Catholic, also defended the sculpture, which is priced at more than £300 and titledThe Long Suffering Stormtrooper.
“I’ve got three customers who are priests and they all like it. [God help them if that statement is true.] I totally take on board what she’s saying, but it’s not got anything to do with religion,” said Mr Belder.

It wasn't only the ignorant artist and the "Catholic" gallery owner that bothered me - it was also the poll taken asking if the "Long Suffering Stormtrooper" was blasphemous or not.  

At the time I took the poll, only 11% were offended by the "art" of a science fiction character replacing Jesus Christ on the crucifix.  More than half thought it was 'just fine'.

"Just fine"?  Really?

I can almost understand non-Christians and atheists... but anyone who claims to be Christian - and KNOWS the suffering Jesus did for love of us -and yet finds nothing offensive about this "art" is simply... pathetic.

Do they even take a moment to THINK what that suffering was like?

Do they even take a moment to LOOK upon a true crucifix and CONTEMPLATE the pain, suffering and anguish our dear Lord went through for LOVE of us?

How... how can anyone contemplate Christ on the cross and then look at this stormtrooper 'art' and NOT be offended?

I don't get it...I truly don't understand such ignorance.

On another note... had a depiction of Islam's Mohammad been placed where the stormtrooper is I am willing to bet there would be more "offended" people in the poll.  JMO

Catholic Faith degraded and mocked in Disney 'art'

I'm disgusted.

Another vile and disgusting liberal who thinks blasphemy is "art" and all the idiots who flock to these "art" shows to purchase the filth are just as bad as the "artist".

Perhaps Disney gives this "artist" their stamp of approval?  

Since Disney happily allows "gay days" at their amusement parks you just never know any more how far they will go with their debauchery and filth.

Facebook: Virgin Mary Should've Aborted

I received a disturbing email with a link to a Facebook page called “Virgin Mary Should’ve Aborted”.  This atheist Facebook page depicts the Virgin Mary smoking a cigar and a pre-born Jesus image with the wounds of the cross and a tattoo on his arm.

The content is 100% hatred of God.  It is a vile and disgusting Facebook page that's only purpose is to attack people of Faith and attempt to degrade God with assorted blasphemies.

The atheist's reason for these blasphemous attacks on the Holy Infant and Mother of God...?

Besides the written content being offensive, so are the photos shared.  They all take shots at people who believe in God, but this Facebook page has a particular hatred for Christians and Muslims whom are targeted the most.

Most images are FAR TOO offensive and blasphemous for me to display here.

Now according to Facebook’s Community Standards this Facebook page is in clear violation of Facebook’s own policy, yet it remains.

Don't allow this to continue without voicing your outrages on behalf of our Lord and the Mother of God.  And pray for these delusional young people, they are on the wrong path and their souls are in SERIOUS jeopardy - pray for them, they need it.
