Another Pope Francis video

Another lost opportunity for The Walking Ignorant to be fed the Faith from our Pope and learn something to save their souls.

Before clicking play on the video I read the description...

Quote: April 2017 - The Pope Video: Young people have in their hands the challenge of building a more just future, a future of solidarity. Let us support them. Let’s pray with the Pope that our youth will respond and work generously for the changes the world needs.
“I know that you, young people, don’t want to be duped by a false freedom, always at the beck and call of momentary fashions and fads. I know that you are aiming high. Is that true, or am I wrong?”
Don’t leave it to others to be the protagonists of change. 
You are the ones who hold the future! I ask you to be builders of the world, to work for a better world. Do you accept the challenge?
Pray with me for young people, that they might know how to respond generously to the vocation God has given them, and immerse themselves in the great causes of the world.”

...sounds good. 

Then I watched the video.  *sigh* 

What "great causes of the world" is the Pope telling our youth to get involved with? What "work for a better world" does Pope Francis want from the next generation? 

-Ending abortion?  Nope.

-Promoting chastity and modesty? Nope.

-Protesting euthanasia? Nope. 

-Faithfulness to their Catholic Faith (attending Mass, Confession, etc)? Nope. 

-Does Pope Francis ask for vocations to the priesthood and religious life? Nope. 

-Evangelizing the world with the One True Faith? Nope. 

-Devotions? Nope. 

-Saving souls? Nope.

-Helping refugees off rafts?  *DING!*DING!* 


The images are of ONE thing...getting refugees off rafts. 

That's it. 

That's how the youth, according to Pope Francis can build a better future for themselves and the world. 

[Note: Refugees was the theme in numerous previous months also.] 

Catholic laity...young and old are spiritually starving to death because our clergy refuse to feed us the Faith Christ gave the Church. I'm not saying we don't help those in need, I am saying we too have needs -spiritual needs- and the Church is not fulfilling those needs. 

Instead our clergy stuff social justice causes at us every day.  The Catholic Church is raising up secular laity to live in and be part of a secular world without putting God first. 

Want to truly make the world a better place? 

Raise up better Catholics! Convert people! Imagine that?

Teach us the Faith Christ gave the Church. Too many Catholics are The Walking Ignorant because our clergy are so busy telling us about immigration and climate change that we almost never have the opportunity of hearing a Catholic priest teach the authentic Faith.  

This nonsense from the Vatican is disheartening.

Catholic surfing again...

  My insomnia strikes again and I find myself randomly surfing the Internet and reading email that usually fills my spam file when I should be sleeping. 

Realizing I haven't done a "Catholic surfing" post in nearly a year, I thought I'd put my annoying insomnia to use and write a post about the crap I find when I'm bored and online. Most of its terrible (perhaps this explains some of my insomnia?), but sometimes I find a gem among the rubble that sets things right again.

First up...the sad reality of a family who has decided to have a "non-first Holy Communion" celebration because the parents no longer believe in God, but don't want their child to feel left out of the celebration of all the children who are celebrating their First Holy Communion. 

There is nothing "wonderful" about an "Irish granny" (or any granny) laughing that her grandchild is skipping First Holy Communion to go to an adventure park while his friends are celebrating their First Holy Communion with Jesus Christ, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist.  

This is the First Holy Communion card that was altered to remove "God" and "Lord" by the "Irish Granny" and grandfather then sent to their grandchild...

This is a tragic story, but this media outlet and Facebook find it hilarious and "just wonderful". Idiots.

God help me with this next story...

Pope Francis recently met with "influential Youtubers". 

quote: "The conversation with Pope Francis... is the latest example of creators coming together to passionately advocate for issues they believe in, such as creating a more tolerant, empathetic and diverse web. During the meeting with the Pope, these creators raised topics they hope to continue exploring as YouTube role models, including how to counter online hate through tolerance, empathy and education."

Here are a few of the "influential Youtubers" Pope Francis met with who are considered "role models" for youth...

This first video is not in English, but giving the finger is a universal language that I am sure even Pope Francis understands. Perhaps Pope Francis will explain how this guy is a "role model" for our youth?

This woman provides videos on how she takes a bath, moisturizes and applies make-up and dresses. Role-model for youth? "Cleanliness is next to Godliness" maybe?

 Ok, that's enough of that.

Moving on to Poland.  
When a Catholic priest said he supported a ban on abortion (that is he actually believes Catholic teaching and mentions it in his homilies), Catholic women got up and walked out of Mass during the priests homily. 

Guess they want their abortions more than they want Jesus.  Thus, making abortion their god by placing it before God and breaking the First Commandment along with the 5th Commandment [thou shall not commit murder].

What's going on at EWTN?

Either EWTN is having a major glitch with their Twitter and Youtube accounts or they've been hacked.

While on Twitter I noticed numerous tweets from EWTN with videos that didn't show up.  That in its self isn't unusual, but to see them repeated over and over again saying the same things...

...seems weird to me.

So I tried accessing some more of these videos -nothing worked...

...and then going to their Youtube channel to find the videos in question and find this...

...well somethings going on with EWTN. 

Hope they sort it out soon.

Just because I love it...

I confess, I am a big fan of the music group "One Direction" and when I saw this trending now video of a groom, his nephew and their backup crew sing and dance to "You don't know you're beautiful" (my favorite song by them) to the new bride... well, I just thought it was great.

Unbelievable Mass Abuses

Today in my email box I received an email with a link to a Youtube video entitled "The Novus Ordo is not catholic"<--click the link to watch the video - the first few minutes is the narrator talking, after that it turns into videos of masses from around the world.

While I disagree with the title of the video, I figured I had a pretty good idea what the two and a half hour video would feature... mass abuse.  

So I gave it a try.

I was right- but I was NOT prepared for what I saw.  These images can only begin to relay what is going on...the music...the words said... its a horror show.

This needs to STOP!

The Clown Mass- complete with fuzzy ball tassel stole.

These are only a FEW of the abuses shown in the video, there are bouncing balloon priests, what I think is someone dressed as a giant piece of toast processing to the altar, lots of dancing and twirling, a man dancing and flinging incense in the air, a woman re-writing a reading to suit her liberal feminist 'you're not gonna hold us women down!' speech and several consecrated hosts that look like GIANT pancakes being ripped to shreds then fed to the people.

After watching with disgust the entire two and half hours of one mass abuse after another the only thing I could think about was Jesus clearing out the Temple with a whip.

Had *I* been at ANY of these "masses" I think I would have done my own Jesus impression of clearing out the Temple- only I wouldn't have been as easy on them as Jesus was.   

This sickens me.  The ignorance not only of the laity- but the CLERGY!  There is no excuse and while many will not like hearing me say this, I am saying it anyway.  I believe there will be a special place in Hell for the clergy who mock our Lord in this way and take the holiness of the Mass away from the faithful.  How could you?  Do you not KNOW who you disrespect?  I pray for your rotten souls, because they truly must be rotten to treat my Lord so shabbily when he's been tortured, beaten and died for YOU.  This is how you repay Him? You should be on your knees begging His forgiveness for what you've done and those you've led astray! SHAME ON YOU!

May God have mercy on them.

One last thing...in Pope Francis Exhortation, he mentioned getting rid of some "customs" [#43] - can we hope that the "customs" seen here will be the first to go?

43. “In her ongoing discernment, the Church can also come to see that certain customs not directly connected to the heart of the Gospel, even some which have deep historical roots, are no longer properly understood and appreciated. Some of these customs may be beautiful, but they no longer serve as means of communicating the Gospel. We should not be afraid to re-examine them. At the same time, the Church has rules or precepts which may have been quite effective in their time, but no longer have the same usefulness for directing and shaping people’s lives. Saint Thomas Aquinas pointed out that the precepts which Christ and the apostles gave to the people of God “are very few”.[47] Citing Saint Augustine, he noted that the precepts subsequently enjoined by the Church should be insisted upon with moderation “so as not to burden the lives of the faithful” and make our religion a form of servitude, whereas “God’s mercy has willed that we should be free”.[48] This warning, issued many centuries ago, is most timely today. It ought to be one of the criteria to be taken into account in considering a the reform of the Church and her preaching which would enable it to reach everyone.”

Why are so many people screaming about God?

A few days ago a woman begins screaming on a plane: "GOD YOU'RE MY SAVIOR" for nearly a half an hour.



Last night during the vote in the House, the stenographer begins screaming about Freemasons and not serving "two Gods".  

She had to be physically removed from the building.  News this morning said she is currently under going a mental evaluation.


So what's up with these recent "screaming for/about God" outbursts from people who have never done this sort of thing before?

Prayers for the mental health of both women- perhaps these outbursts are merely from being under so much stress?

Did Catholics change the Sabbath?

The following question was asked on one of Connecticut Catholic Corner's Youtube videos...

NadinaFraser29 asked: Is it true that the Catholic's changed the Shabbat from Saturday to Sunday? And if the answer is yes, how does that differ from the Crucifixion. The established word of God in anyway changed by man is the Crucifying of Jesus all over again because He died for the truth which is The Word of God.

Deacon Ron answers: First of all Christ died for the salvation of our souls, not to preserve any particular truth or to make any kind of a statement.

If I understand your question properly you are questioning why Catholics keep Sunday as the Sabbath and not Saturday. I will try to explain.

There seems to be some confusion here about "the seventh day" and "Shabbat". Although often used interchangeably in modern times, the concepts are not exactly identical. Shabbat is the Jewish observance of the seventh day as a day of rest. It does not mean the seventh day itself. "Seventh” is not a direct translation of "Shabbat".

This observance is done in response to the Lord's commandment to keep the seventh day holy. But what is the seventh day? If you consider Sunday to be the first day of the week, then the seventh day is Saturday. But if you consider Monday to be the first day of the week, then the seventh day is Sunday. The ancient Jews considered Sunday to be the first day of the week as a matter of human tradition. It was not ordained so by God.

How would the ancient Jews know on what day to begin the count of the seven days? The bible does not specifically say that the first day of creation was a Sunday. If you interpret the bible literally starting from the day that Christ died, which is known to be a Friday, and count back all the years, months, and days back to the day of creation, then the first day of creation actually calculates out to be a Thursday!

Catholics, in fact all Christians, keep the seventh day as holy, Except for Seventh day Adventist, all Christians begin the count of seven with Monday so that the seventh day coincides with the resurrection of Christ. How fitting that our holiest day of the week coincides with the holiest event in our Christian faith!

It is true that our calendar week begins on Sunday, but so what? Socially and economically our first day of the week is Monday. What day we begin the seven day count on is not specified in scripture and what we call the first day of the week is irrelevant. What matters is the every seventh day we take time to out to take care of our spiritual lives, to rest from our work, and worship God.
